Overland Truck Bed Rack Fit for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2022 2nd 3rd Gen

The bed rack is meant for a 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma 2005-2022. I own a 2004 Tacoma 1st Gen. It's very difficult for me to find stuff like this rack for my truck. But I did the math and measured twice and figured it should fit. Wow, it did with minor modifications to the Tacoma bed ... First it was packaged very well for the weight, all the parts were in perfect condition and labeled and bagged. I assembled the rack in the back of the bed which made it easy. Followed the instructions and using common sense it came together very well, leaving all the bolts loose. Since its not made for my Tacoma, I had to drill the mounting holes using a step Bit. That was the hardest part but after I was done and had tightened everything. I loved it, the quality and the look were awesome, my research showed me that one can get a quality bed rack or anything for your truck if one does the math. The major brands are nice but again very limited to my year of Tacoma and the price I paid for MELIPRON was a quarter of what I would have paid for a major brand ... Go Overlanding!!

The rack is really good, actually it fit together much better than I expected. The included hardware was actually quality bolts etc. Mounted onto my truck very well and holds weight just fine. No rattles or squeaks. Over all this is a great rack especially for the price. The problem is the packaging. When it arrived in it's box, there was no damage to the box, so that's a great start! I opened the box and surprise. Each piece is barely wrapped in some thin bubble wrap and not very tight at that. Almost all the bigger pieces had some pretty scratches and some had deep ones through the coating. I didn't want to mess with a return so I touched them up and installed it. A really good rack but they need to improve their packaging!

It took me about 2 hours to assemble the whole thing, don’t follow the instructions, follow the video instead especially if you’re working alone. There was screws and bolts missing but easy to replace. If you have a Tacoma short bed it is a tight fit but lucky it still fits. Overall for the price it’s not bad.

Product arrived with a few scuffs and scratches here and there, but I don't mind, its for a truck. There is an enormous bag of nuts and bolts that it came with, which unfortunately ripped in shipping, and were scattered throughout the box. Miraculously they were all there. There is roughly 70 bolts that need to be installed, which took me about 4 hours to get all installed with the included locking washers. Many of the bolts seem a bit unnecessary, and you could probably get the whole thing safely assembled in about 2 hours, but I wanted everything to be perfect. The height is a bit low, which helps with the tent, but my 29" Mtb has a very hard time fitting in the back now, as the tire must be at an angle in order to fit.

This product came very well packaged and arrived very quickly. Assembly was a breeze, was able to piece it together by myself. Would recommend a second set of hands installing on the truck. Bought this to replace my old rusty bed rack, which ultimately became rusty due to poor packaging, which resulted in scratches / paint chipping. That was NOT the case with this bed rack, 10/10 on the packaging. Relatively on the heavy side for a bed rack, but not far off from the competition.

It's very Strong... l use it for Overland Camping on my Toyota Tacoma anywhere , got a Roof Tent on it and more items inside.more than 300 pounds on it easy no problems, nothing shakes .. frame is thick.. l highly Recommend it .. l will keep you posted as l used it more.. thank you
