PfluegerPresident XT 30X

This reel is now part of my trout fishing setup for ponds and small lakes. I have it on a 6.5 foot light power, fast action rod with 6lb fluorocarbon line. The reel is lightweight and works nice and smooth. I did not have any problems with the line getting tangled. I used it several outings a week with all different kinds of bait and lures over the past 6 weeks without any complaints. The drag is nice and smooth without any jerky feeling like on some less expensive fishing reels. I only greased and lubed it once so far but I did not notice any wear on the gears. The handle can be switched from left to right. This has become my new favorite small fishing reel.UPDATE: I used this reel for my entire 2023 trout fishing season. It went though a lot of heavy use for several months without any problems. It proved to be a great purchase for me.

This is a fine fishing reel. I just used it on a week trip to Minnesota. I caught lots of big fish on Mille Lac lake and the reel was flawless.

I pair this with a 6.5 foot medium-heavy, fast action one piece rod and 20lb braid. Great for plastics, crank baits or top water poppers.

Pflueger president XT is by far my favorite real the quality is second to none for a spinning real. I have other high dollar reals like the shanamo nasci and the revo’s, but will grab my President over those. Can’t beat the price tag for a reel of this magnitude.

This reel is for light fishing and is very sensitive in 45 feet of water

Works like a charm

I ordered one and used it once. When I stopped reeling and tried to reel again, the reel would stick. I returned that reel and was sent a new one and it did the same thing. I am done with pflueger!

Very nice reel, but to expensive.I could have found a better deal.
