I think I went through every emotion reading this book. It was heartbreaking, shocking, made me so angry at times that this even happened without challenge. I even laughed at some of the mischief she got up to through what I can only describe as a truly horrific life experience for any human to go through never mind a child. What a truly amazing and inspirational woman Monica is.A must read!

Truly wonderful heartfelt page turning book.I'm not a big book lover but I couldn't put it down to the end.What a heartbreaking story.I would highly recommended this book 10/10

Monica's story broke my heart. What a brave little girl and amazingly strong and brave woman who fought for her rights and for others. Nobody should be treated like she was and I hope the pious and wicked foster family are shamed. Never, but not quite Monica - I don't think so. Well done for surviving and going on to fight for others. The book was well written , a hard read sometimes but worth it.

Excellent Novel

Unbelievable real life story .. just goes to show you never know what people are going through or have been through .Couldn't put it down .. you are an amazing woman and bloody hell what a strong child you were . I hope other who have suffered realise it"s not their shame ..they are victims 😢

Harrowing and horrific - what a brave story to tell. Very well written, and a little difficult to read at times. It must have taken remarkable courage to tell this story, and to fight for justice too. Incredible !
