I am really impressed with Persil Ultimate Active Clean Laundry Washing Liquid Detergent. It is an effective detergent that fights odours and stains and keeps clothes smelling fresh for a long time.The detergent also has a pleasant smell that I love. It is not too overpowering but just enough to keep the clothes smelling fresh all day long. I also love that it is easy to use. You just have to add the detergent to the washing machine and it does all the work for you.

I’ve been using pods for ages, but the price is going up and they are getting smaller, so i thought i would try a liquid. This liquid felt like it gave similar results although the fragrance seems a lot stronger than my pods.My issue with these is, and my reason for four star, is that there is no sensible way to measure the liquid into the machine. I would vary the qty according to what i was washing, but since i’ve had to guess how much liquid 40ml is, i have a feeling i put way too much liquid which is why the fragrance was so strong.I’m not keen to put one of those ball things inside the wash, but maybe i have to. Overall, i liked the liquid.

This washing detergent comes in a cardboard with 4x bottles inside. At first glance, this washing liquid looks expensive at £11 per bottle but I’ve found that you don’t need a lot of detergent to get good results. I only just cover the bottom of my washing machine tray and that is enough to get a good clean and to have nice smelling clothes. You can smell the floral fragrance as soon as I go into the laundry room, and it smells lovely. Talking the clothes out of the washing machine once done, also allows the fragrance out and I really like the smell this has. The fragrance seems to hold on to the clothes too as they still smell nice after being stored for a week in the drawers. We’ve had no issues with irritation changing from the baby brand to this one and there’s definitely a more fresher smell to this one thanks to the floral fragrance. The bottle does have an easy open and close lid and has a pouring spout which you just have to wait for the last drops come out before you close the lid which then stops it running down the side. There is no measuring ball or anything with this so it’s easy to overuse it as at first, I put in the usual amount of detergent as my old one, but I only need about half of that to get good results. A beautiful fragrance makes me want to change my washing detergent to this, but you need to remember to use a lot less than usual which makes it more cost efficient. They do say that you’ll get 52 washes out of a bottle but I should be getting a bot more than that with the amount I’m using per wash..

Opening the box for the first time, the lovely aroma hit me right away and I just knew that this was going to result in very fragrant washing results.The detergent is thick so should last the stated 52 washes on the bottle if you use the recommended amount. Not included is a cup to measure it out but I have plenty of those from over the years so for me it wasn’t needed, although it would have been nice to have one included to cover the four pack.As well as a nice fragrant the detergent gives a clean wash whether white or coloured clothing. I can confirm that even after coming in from outside drying, the aroma stays on the clothes in the wardrobe for days after.

The bottles are very well designed. Nice to hold with a nice easy pour spout that doesn't leave any big dribbles but I did find I had to wipe the bottom every now and again so some is running down. The bottles aren't full to the top with product which seems like a waste of plastic but maybe they do this to ensure no problems in transit.The liquid is fairly thick and blue. The smell is fresh and vaguely floral without being overpowering. I've had problems in the past with other detergents which have had such strong fragrances that that have made me nauseous, this liquid gets it right, a nice smell that isn't too strong but it still seems to keep clothes smelling fresh for a long time.Wash performance is very good. Gets stains out well and washes perfectly at 40 degrees or lower when on a longer cycle.The 52 washes claim is reduced to 35 washes if you have hard water or are putting big loads on. You don't get a measuring jug with this so be careful when dosing. We have a 10Kg load washing machine but still use less than the recommend standard dose and it works great, try less to start with and see if you need to increase it.This is a very good quality detergent but it still seems expensive at £11 per bottle. The value I'm getting it a little better than this as I think the recommend doses are too high.

You get 4 massive bottles of very good quality detergent, it does what it says on the tin.It cleans my clothes well and in total has 208 washes, so it's almost a 4 year supply if you do your laundry once a week.I would recommend this if you have the space to store the bottles because I assume it's better value to buy in bulk
