NEHOO Cold Therapy System WLC-02

The media could not be loaded. This cooling system was awesome. My husband had double knee replacement surgery so we bought 2 of these units. They were super quiet and easy to program. When filled with the proper amount of water you can barely hear it running, so it did not keep us awake at night. We liked being able to set a timer for ice on for 10-90 minutes, and then off for 10-90 minutes. Our normal setting was on for 30 minutes and off for 20. It was awesome to have it programmed to run through the night without having to adjust anything. I believe it runs for 8-10 hours without having to reset. (Check manual for specific time). We used frozen water bottles and ice packs in the water rather than ice cubes. This worked great. Definitely worth every penny. Only problem we encountered was one of the units leaked at the hose connecting to the unit when we used it the first time. It was packed so tightly in the box the line inside kinked and pressure caused it to leak. We returned it and the replacement unit worked perfectly.

Suggested to my wife that she familiarize herself with the Nehoo WLC-02 before her knee surgery the following day.She added water, the unit was turned on... and it immediately and relentlessly pumped the water out of the area where the hoses exit the cover - and on to the floor before she figured out how to turn it off.I was summoned, mopped up the floor and determined she had not mis-assembled anything then experienced the same floor washing experience when I tested the unit.Removed the cover (about 12 #2 Phillips screws) to reveal that of the two hose connections to the pump (inlet and outlet), only one hose was connected (causing water to pump out the cover) and the second was about to pop off. Reattached the hoses and used a pair of pliers to manipulate the spring clamps and secure the hoses.Two takeaways:- Quality assurance on assembly was completely and unbelievably lacking.- The design…Having the leaking pump connections in the lid caused the water to not only exit the container, but to come into contact with electrical control components, which will probably cause corrosion over time.-----All this said, once the unit was repaired it operated flawlessly and she loves the affect it has on her knee pain - post surgery.

I bought this after having a partial knee replacement. I was only sent home with ice packs and they were not cutting it. My PT suggestion something like this. I didn't even know these existed. But I am so glad she told me. I bought it and have used it for 5 weeks now. It is amazing! I use either ice or frozen water bottles if they are frozen...and water. It stays cold and feels amazing! I have had, so far, no problems with the velcro straps. I like that I can set it to run for say 40 mins and then rest for 20. When I am really swollen this works amazingly for pain!I'll update if anything changes but so far this has been a game changer and I am so glad I have had it for most of my recovery!

I purchased this cold therapy for my knee replacement post surgery protocol. It worked beautifully for the first two days and then the water was not filling up through the hose to the pad. We troubleshooted, nothing. Returned it and ordered another one , the day it came I was so excited to get some relief with the ice therapy. Unfortunately, they sent me another machine that the pump was spitting out water through the back hose and left me in a puddle of water while my knee is throbbing. Waste of time and energy especially when you are prescribed cold therapy multiple times a day.

I think I returned this one I purchased for our IL home because it was unnecessary after 6 weeks of using the exact same model at our FL home where I had my surgery. It was so well liked during my FL recovery that I thought I needed one in IL when I returned home. But I did not need it so I returned it. But we sure did love having it after my knee replacement in FL. In fact, a friend of ours in FL is using ours at this very time after he knee replacement! She said she is so glad we let her borrow it because it is so efficient and convenient than having to buy bags of ice and use cumbersome bags, etc. to place on the swelling. The wrap for the knee completely covers the knee cap area with the help of quality Velcro straps included. The Velcro upset (jokingly) me because it so well made if it accidently touched something else with the straps it would attach very well. The Velcro made the ice cooled water continually flow throughout the knee cap area. The trick to this is you do NOT have to buy bags of ice or empty your icemaker to use it. Save about 4 regular 16 oz.(or close to) empty water bottles. Fill them with tap water. Freeze. When using the machine ice/water reservoir place the 4 frozen bottles in the reservoir FIRST then add the necessary water to reach the fill line marked. It will amaze you how cold that water is flowing all over your knee area. When finished icing your injury, take the 4 bottles out and put them back in the freezer for your next use. You never have to buy ice! There is no way I not have one of these machines if I ever need a replacement surgery again. For replacements on other parts of the body the company sells different wraps to fit perfectly. (example: shoulder, etc.) I am so glad I had my ice machine during my recovery. The coldness of the water along with the pressure I could apply with the straps made my swelling be minimal or non-existent! Now go purchase one!! lol
