Sensational
I absolutely love both Ash and Giancarlo. Watching ash find his voice through his time with gin was so cute and very real. Their love story was so cute. The love between the brothers is also one of the best parts.

Better than book one
Not only was the dynamic between the couple refreshing (especially when it comes to the subgenre of mafia romances), but the characters also felt starkly different to the ones from book one. Many series tend to blend in together when it comes to their characters and couples seeming way too similar, so I was glad to see both authors finding a way to keep it unique. Both MCs had their issues (one of them is a victim of family/childhood abuse and the other has panic attacks due to his own insecurities), but they found a way to work together in the end that I thought was believable and well developed. Even despite their... well, bizarre start to getting together (human trafficking and all), I was surprised by how well they clicked. They compliment each other and it was satisfying to witness them both growing as people and opening up emotionally. Some serious comfort took place for both parties and the themes of healing throughout the story were a nice touch.Do NOT expect the characters (the mafia brothers, at least) to be nice cookie-cutter romance heroes, however. I've read some reviews on other sites, and I was surprised by some readers saying how they thought this story was "problematic" while giving it a low rating and even DNF-ing due to it. This might not be a dark romance, but it's still a **mafia romance** in every sense of the world. Sure, the characters are fleshed out and sympathetic, but they're **still** criminals. I was a fan of this, since I've always hated when authors try to make criminal or morally grey protagonists develop an odd ethical compass, but it is what it is. Really hoping this type of realistic depiction continues in the next installments of the series, cause it would be a shame if it didnt. As for the steam in this, I have to add that the kink was lite here— for those out there wondering (because yes, I would've loved to see the hints of puppy play that appeared explored more in-depth lol, as well as the whole "sir" dynamic), but the smut itself was still kindle-meltingly fantastic. This duo of writers really knows how to deliver when it comes to that, and it never felt repetitive either. If anything, I ended up enjoying this aspect more than the scenes from book one due to that unexpected dynamic between the MCs I mentioned at the start. Also expect lots of banter between characters to be sure! The humor wasn't obnoxious or too much for my taste, but just the right amount to make it charming... and with a good dose of edginess too.

The Amazingness keeps going
“I nēėd you to ťåkė another one of my fìrst….” “I want all of them. If you dare give them to anyone else, I will bløŵ this fůċķīñġ city up.” -Giancarlo’s❣️MM Romance-Mafia Pșycħø & a V-card holding golden retriever 😉-Hurt Comfort-MMCs battling with Mẽntäl hēalťh-Twǐnk with a Mønster 🐓-Førcēd Prox-Tøůch him & ☠️⭐️5/5🌶️5/5Paid in full was an amazing read for me!! Gin & Ash just made sense together and fit perfectly with each other’s needs! From the moment their eyes met at that auction I could tell their story was going to be a beautifully crafted storm of emotions, excitement, chaos, and so much more!!That storm was exactly what you can expect when reading their story!! I’m always a sucker for the pšÿchø MC because I feel like they are the way they are for a reason… most of the time there’s an internally struggles that they don’t talk about and that’s what you get with Giancarlo!! You’ll get to understand why he has a favorite hammer named Silvy… Gin and Ash both had dëmøns to overcome and make peace with for not only their relationship stake but for the sake of the Vitale Brothers as well!! There are a lot of moving parts in this book that will help you understand the Brothers and their partners but not only that you’ll start to see each book each storyline leads to more!!Not only is the storyline crème de la crème delicious BUT the SPICE!! 😮💨 good lawd those spicy scenes were 100% spicin and so amazingly detailed!! I will say you might be surprised in how that dynamic of Gin & Ash’s relationship is but I’m not at all mad about it at all!!These stories are interconnected and may be read as standalone but to get the full experience/ really understand the flow of each storyline it’s best to read them in order…-Happy Reading Babes

I can't get enough!!!!
Giancarlo is the second son of a mafia leader. Considered the crazy one who has an onsession a hammer named Silvy. Gin is sent to retrieve money owed to his family. He comes across an auction of a young man. His father is the very man who owes Gin the money. So Gin takes Ash. But he has no idea how much Ash is going to change his life. Ash has lived his life surrounded by threats, neglect and abuse. Forced to watch untold cruelty to keep him in line. Ash still has an innocence to him. He understands Gin like no one else. The two have a sexual chemistry off the charts. But someone is waiting to destroy it all. Gin has his enemies and Ash has his own delimma to face. Can these two men have their HEA? Ok I love this series!! Each book is better then the next. It is unique. I love the relationship between the two main characters. The way Gin is protective of Ash is sweet and his need to constantly be with his puppy. The two men are a perfect fit. You have to read book one so you know about Gin"s brothers and Tex. Book two flows with book one. This is a new writer for me and I am already going to buy the print versions. They are that good!!

Good story, not for me
I wanted to read this book because I loved Giancarlo's character in the previous one, but unfortunately the way he meets Ash and the power dynamic that is established between them didn't sit well with me. While they both have a good development throughout the story, I was left with this bitter taste that didn't let me fully enjoy it.It kept the humor of the first book and that is great. It helps me finish the book. The driving lesson makes me laugh out loud.A good, well-developed story that just wasn't for me.Of course I'm going to continue with the series because I'm obsessed with the Vitale brothers.
