After going through and analyzing multiple watch boxes, I settled for this one considering its looks, glass top, and proper hinged design.•••••••••••••••••••🎁 INSIDE BOX•••••••••••••••••••Watch box with 12 compartments, 12 cushions and a glass window•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••➕ OBSERVATIONS & PROS•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••1. Box is made up of engineered wood with a separate polymer layer covering wood across the box which is responsible for the current finish.2. Two metallic hinges with 8 screws each, to support the heavy lid3. Antique looks with brass finish hinges and clip lock4. Cushions are perfectly sized and have soft microfiber to handle different watch sizes (primarily a concern with metal strap watches having fixed size and difficult to fit in the hard cushion design)5. Height of the box is sufficient, and the compartments are spacious enough to accommodate large dials6. The lengthwise partition strip can be removed for cleanup of the compartments•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••➖ OBSERVATIONS & CONS•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••1. Since the box uses engineered wood and the screws are thin, many screws were loose in the housing. You will not notice it since each hinge has 8 screws to support, but some of those might be loose and will show signs later on. A workaround is to remove the screws, add strong glue in the holes and then tighten those to have a firm grip. Once done, leave it overnight to dry.So don't forget to check and fix screws to increase the box's life and durability since the lid is heavy and needs a strong hinge.2. Glass top is a separate layer with glass inside ~ 1-inch edge support, which is then pasted on the box top. I'm a bit skeptical that it may come out over time if not handled properly. If you slightly try to pull it, it starts coming off the glue.•••••••••••••••••••••••🏆 FINAL VERDICT•••••••••••••••••••••••This watch box is good to have if you are ok with the looks (rest all things are in line), as not everyone will fall for current color scheme. It can be a nice addon to care for, store, and even flaunt your watch collection. I might have another once I outgrow my collection that this box can handle.
