It's a set of plastic steps. For a toddler.
3-year update: still in regular use in our house. Almost grown out of them. Definitely worth it.2-year update. The second 18-month-old and the now 3.5 year old use these (same ones) in tandem and the elder kiddo carries them around when he needs to ascend to great heights and take his younger sibling along. They last and are a good buy (original set has withstood much abuse) as I would only buy more if there was a third small person, but alas the wife said no more small people shall be born unto us. A faucet extension is still a handy aid.The steps are strong enough to hold a toddler, though if you have an average sink and an average 18 month old, you'll still want to purchase some faucet extensions. The steps are exactly as advertised - steps. Two of them, in a set. They'll hold a toddler without buckling, but won't hold a pirate without swashbuckling, and that's the kind of mess I'm trying to avoid, as my wife has swashed a few times, but mostly because she thinks they're cool enough for a pirate. Something about "tickles" I don't get, i suppose. Arrrr.

Freedom!
These step stools were exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something to give my little ones freedom to use the big potty on their own. As a daycare lady potty training 3 kids at once, it can be daunting. For my taller kids it was no biggie, but one of my younger kids self taught herself. Well she’s too short for just one step. I needed something with 2 steps, that didn’t have slick steps, and was easy to maneuver. These stools have rubbery areas on top of the steps so she can turn around without being too scared to fall off. My youngest can maneuver it and has figured out she can use it to get up on the couch when she wants too.

Incredibly stable and lightweight.
Amazing quality for the price! They're the perfect height for my little one, and best of all, extremely stable. My daughter would often stand on one side of the step stool, and she would often fall because the step stool would trip. Somehow, with these, she can stand on the corner of one side, and the step stool wouldn't buckle at all. The grip is very steady on the bottom, so no fear of sliding off. The grip surface on the top is perfect as well. The handles on the side makes it easy to move around. My daughter likes to take the stool all around the house as her way to reaching higher stuff. She loves the extra access! I highly recommend these.

I bought these stools for my 2 year old grandson ...
I bought these stools for my 2 year old grandson to reach the sink for hand washing and teeth brushing. Since he is on the small side, my daughter attached an extender to the faucet so the water would reach him. I looked at a lot of stools and this was the tallest I could find. The carry handles do not hurt fingers with the insert.Having them come in a set of 2 was great/ one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. My grandson put his thinking cap on a few mornings ago. He carried the stool into his parents room and used it to get on their high bed!!It has been s real hit!!!

Best ones for potty training
We have a couple types of stools for potty training and these are the nicest. First of all they are taller so it’s easier for the kiddo to reach the sink or toilet and they don’t slip. There are grips on both the bottom and the foot rest piece which is good for a toddler climbing up and down the stairs. They are also very sturdy and don’t bend as easily under a toddlers weight. Our tot has fallen off our other ones because they aren’t as sturdy as these ones. She has yet to have a tumble on these more sturdy step stools.

Pretty awesome, just slips a little on smooth surface
Overall, I'm really happy with these step stools since I was looking for a couple taller step stools for my very short toddler who is now potty trained and needs to be able to reach the toilet and the sink to wash her hands. My only disappointment is that it seemed to slip a little on my smooth ceramic tile floor when she got on and off the toilet. So I just put a rug under it and problem solved.

Toddler Love
I wanted to stop using a little potty chair (that Mom had to empty and clean) for our toddler, but he wasn't having it. I got the stools because he loves to climb and that did the trick! The day they arrived, he started using the big boy potty and I got to do one last cleaning on the little potties before they went away for good! He can move it around himself (we have a rule that it stays in the bathroom), which allows him to independently wash his hands AND get in the bathtub. They've been great for us!

Great kid step.
This was a mistake, I was lured in by a good looking product and the 2 pack. My 2 year old loves them, he can carry them anywhere and at first they were great for brushing teeth, washing hands etc. He is mostly unstoppable at this point, he can get into anything. Kitchen cupboards, book shelves, closets, cookie jars and even the pantry. He is completely unwilling to surrender them at this point, please advise.
