Joist Mounted Pull Up Bar, Ceiling Mount Chin Up Bar for Home Gym, Beam, Rafter, Easy installation, 42" Wide Bar

Setup instructions are reasonable. I'm a novice at DIY but managed to get this set up in about 1 hour with a bit of help from Google about pre drilling. Once set up, the product is great and feels sturdy and secure. I am currently using it with tension ropes while building up strength to do chin ups unaided.

Cheap and exactly what I needed.

Solid, great addition to my garage! 4 stars because the foam grips are already fraying, but not a biggie, can be replaced.

Great pull up bar. Been using it daily for over a month with no issues. I used the bolts supplied and screwed them into the joist after drilling a pilot hole. Nice and secure.

The bar itself is solid, easy to put together and does the job. Unfortunately, the hardware was an issue. There should have been 4 x m8x50mm lag bolts; there were only 3 in the pack. Within the pack was a card with the company's details and a message stating to contact them if there were any issues or missing items. I emailed them, and didn't get a message back for weeks. They were apologetic and stated they would reimburse me £7. I had given my details, including the Amazon invoice number. They stated they couldn't find the details and asked me to contact them through Amazon. Bear in mind that I bought some more lag bolts, otherwise I would still be waiting. It seems they deliberately made it difficult to fix this issue.

A lot of parts to put together. The quality is average, it does creek a bit when a heavy person uses it (perhaps it wood creeks?). A bit uncomfortable on hands for a wider hand position as there are screws on the way. The instructions recommended using the tape (provided). However you need to tape smth else more as that tape is getting undone during the exercise. Overall, it does the job for teenagers and family

This pull up bar is pretty good value for the money. It's sturdy and the handle grips are comfortable. The support hangers are just long enough that there is room for a full pull up (chin above the bar.) Assembly was easy, although I did use my own tools rather than the cheap ones supplied. Of course it's a bit awkward to install single handed in an overhead position, but once the first bolt is in place it's easy to level and measure up for the rest. It would be nice if the instructions indicated the size of the lag bolts for installing the bar to the joist, so that one could immediately figure out what size drill bit to use. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.
