History exposed
An exceptional read which brings light to the behind-the-scenes music of my era. I found myself traveling through a time warp alongside Francis as I read from page to page. Fascinating storytelling tied Giorgio to the history that he generally helped cultivate. Well done Francis on this biography that needed to be documented and deserved to be told.

A piece of rock history
What a complete, true to life, respectful and soulful insight to Giorgio Gomelsky unique, generous and uncompromised contribution to rock history. Highly recommended book; as fascinating as easy to read. Francis Dumaurier is a unique story-teller, and what is the best story narrator than close friends and chosen family? A rare and precious testimony of rock and love.

"The" book about Giorgio Gomelski
This book is not only a book about Giorgio Gomelsky, the early producer of the Rolling Stones and the Yardbirds. Gomelsky was a pionneer when it comes to Rock and Pop music, he understood better than anybody the mood of the sixties. But the book is as well a book about friendship, rare friendship between the author, Francis Dumaurier and Giorgio Gomelsky, that lasted for decades. This relationship was based on their common love for music and liberty. This is why I encourage all the people interested in the sixties and seventies to read it, for a refreshing bath in purity and talent.

A Long Overdue Tribute to Giorgio Gomelsky
The Stones and the Yardbirds were the soundtrack for the 60's generation and it was amazing to meet through this book, the man who orchestrated so much of the evolution of the new mood of living in colour after the black-and-white years of post-war deprivation and self-denial.Francis Dumaurier is an ideal biographer for is close friend Giorgio Gomelsky, having shared so much with him for so many years and having carefully researched the years when he was not there."For Your Love" is an important piece of sociological as well as musical history,

A missed opportunity
Being an avid rock reader and knowing a bit about gomelsky I was really looking forward to reading this book. The problem I gather is that it was originally in French (?) and translated but not very well so it reads very badly which is a shame. Also the story of GG is not balanced with some interesting parts just mentioned. It’s well meaning and from the heart but in the end amateurish and clunky and a missed opportunity which is a shame
