We got this for a baby friend of ours and I was impressed by the quality of the book and the visuals. The baby was immediately drawn to the pages and was smiling away.

So sure, for high contrast cards to work they don’t have to include images of pasta, but that’s what makes these fun and unique. As an adult, I’m pleased with the pasta designs…it’s just fun. Put to use, they’re just as good as any other contrast card or book for newborns. They’re well made, thoughtfully designed, made to last, and have a nice size for grasping and showing to your baby. I recommend them!

This sturdy set of art cards comes in it’s own box and has the cute theme of pasta shapes in high contrast of black and white. For young infants, 0-3 months, it’s important to use high contrast items as a great way to increase visual stimulation for development, focus training and strengthening eyesight. An additional feature of these sight cards is that there are the names of each pasta and their pronunciation. So these cards can also help infant’s develop audio recognition of voices and sounds. But with this in mind, I’d like to make a note that I read a review that claims there’s one incorrect pronunciation and one misidentified pasta.

We got these as a gift for our Italian friends who are expecting. We knew they would get a kick out of the pasta cards, and also find value in showing the high-contrast images to their new little one. The cards seem durable so they should hold up pretty well, and they are packaged cutely in a nice box. Overall, would totally recommend these as an extra baby shower gift to throw in a bag or basket for your pasta-loving friends!

This is a fun, different set of high-contrast cards. The set comes with 10 cards which are thick and high quality. The pasta concept is different from the many sets out there in this arena and is fun as a result. For the number of cards the price point is high (even though the quality of the cards are very good), but this would be great for any pasta lovers, as a gift for one, or to start nurturing love of pasta early.

The design of the cards are nice and the concept is cute but there are some inaccuracies with the pronunciation (e.g., conchiglie ends in an -yay sound not -yah) and the image for fusilli actually shows cavatappi. Baby seems to like them though.

My baby really likes these and I personally find it fun to cycle through them because he shows more interest in some cards than others, which is very apparent and cool to see. These are very very well made and very vibrant for black and white cards. I highly recommend them if you're looking for some visual stimulation for your babies.

Love the packaging and presentation! Came in a very nice card case. The flash cards are thicker quality but not quite as thick as a board book type of material. Love that each card has a visual representation and pronunciation guide for each pasta type. On the reverse side is a very high contrast and busy pattern made of illustrations with the specific noodle type. Can’t wait to use these with baby…. Or myself LOL
