OMG...Another Series Of Hers I Had
So, I was looking for an Aurora Rose Reynolds book to read...and to my horror, there was a whole series I had, that I hadn’t read. OMG, I can’t even, worst fan ever. My next FB badge will probably say...”Worst Fan Ever”😂. Psst...please don’t throw too much virtual fruit at me. Please and thank you.Anyway, this is Kenton Mayson’s book. Yeah, I totally said Mayson, as in cousin to the Mayson brothers. Yup, and he is just as much of a handful as they are. Autumn sees something she shouldn’t have and gets sent to Kenton for protection, I know, right. I will say that at first I was not a Kenton fan, but luckily he is a Mayson and they grovel the best. As they should. We should all be so lucky *winks*. Adored her, she was a warrior. Kenton’s words, not mine, tough as nails. Such a great, emotional and suspenseful story. This was a safe read. No om drama, a bit of crazy ex-girlfriend drama, but she handles her in the best possible way. Absolutely loved it, and of course he has her back. Their chemistry was amazing, and I loved that she didn’t just give him what he wanted. He was more than happy to work for it. I loved the secondary characters, Justin, Kai, Sven, his mom and aunt. This book will absolutely have you feeling every emotion you could ever feel, pulled at my heartstrings. Aurora Rose Reynolds does an amazing job of always wrapping up her books, loved this epilogue and hea.

Pride and Prejudice of the romance novel community and she does it so. so. so. GOOD.
Well, I'm ruined for other men. Kenton agrees to house a stripper with a heart of gold who witnessed a shooting. What he encounters is a bombshell beautiful woman who gives him his BOOM but he has to remind himself that she's a stripper. And makes assumptions that he should not have. I forgive him, that beautiful man. If you're trying to talk yourself out of the woman whose going to stop your wandering dick days and you're terrified, it's okay to be a douche occasionally. And he apologizes. A heartfelt apology. Why is that so sexy? I really don't know but it is.Autumn was a stripper by necessity to put herself through nursing. She witnesses something on the job that makes it dangerous for her to remain in her home town and she flees to the home of a friend's friend. Friend's cousin? I'm sorry, I forgot. She's open to him at first until Kenton opens his big mouth. She forgot that people made assumptions about her that weren't true, and chides herself for thinking he'd be the acceptation. The sexual tension grows, assumptions on both sides are made with hard truths and that's when the story reaaaaallllyyyyyyy hits it's awesomeness speed.Read it. You might like it more than Until Nico. I know, sacrilege. But do it and try to prove me wrong.

So good
If this is your first ARR book read Until Nico before you start this one. The Until series is amazing also and if you start with Until November you won’t regret it at all! Until Nico just gives you more background on the Underground Kings so even though they can stand alone there are fewer holes and you have a small background on the main characters. From the beginning you want to hug Autumn and junk punch Kenton, I promise he redeems himself 😉. This is a great well written book with a story that grips you the entire time. I have read all of the Underground Kings and all the Until series and it is my opinion that you can’t go wrong with ARR. highly recommend!

This series comes before the Until series
I enjoyed this story. I feel like this series comes before the Until series because April is a baby. It was cool to see December and Asher again as a young married couple.Kenton was really hard for me to attach to in the beginning because he was just so mean to Autumn. I mean she was sent by his childhood friend so wouldn’t it be safe to think that he wouldn’t send a flake or a floozy. And I don’t find it believable to assume that Link didn’t pass on any information. And I also don’t find it realistic that Kenton wouldn’t ask at least basic things about her considering she was going to be living with him and watching out for her. I do find it believable that a bunch of men stood around and watched her struggle with her luggage and never attempted to offer any kind of assistance. That is totally believable.I don’t trust her ex boss though Sid. I feel like he knew what was coming when he went to the hospital that night and that’s why he helped her. I feel like he knew more than the story showed.Good story. Good book.

Okay
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I was expecting to. I liked this author's Until series but I felt that this book was just lacking something. To read this book I don't think you necessarily need to read the Until series however I think it would be good if you had. Nico is mentioned a few times in the story. It has quite some time since I read Nico's story (Until Nico) and I can't really remember what happened in it. If I had realized, I think I would have re-read Until Nico before I started this book.By the time I had finished reading this book I felt that there was still aspects of the story that I didn't feel I was told enough about. For instance, unless you are told and I overlooked it which I don't think I did, I have no idea what Kenton and 'his men' actually do work-wise. Another thing, the title of this series Underground Kings, what is that about? No idea. There was a few too many unknowns for me.Even though this book wasn't up to my expectations, I probably would read more of this series.

Loved It
This is the story of Autumn/Angel and Kenton.Autumn doesn’t know her dad and has had an awfully unhappy life with her mother as she refused to allow her to show any emotion, forced her into pageants and has never treated her with any love, she also managed to fall pregnant when she was sixteen but her boyfriend turned his back on her as he didn’t want the baby and her mum sent her off to a girls home where she was forced to give up her son – she left home as soon as she could and ended up in Vegas training to be a nurse by day and working as a kind of stripper/hostess at a gents club at night. One night at the club Autumn is catering to a VIP party with another girl when she gets herself caught up in a mob hit, she is the only person in the room to make it out alive so after speaking with the police she is sent out to town to stay with a friend of a guy that she works with until the killer is caught. This is where Kenton comes into things.Kenton is nice enough to Autumn until he remembers that she works as a stripper – then he becomes a very judgmental tool and he explains that he wants none of her work life coming back to his house while she stays there. Once Autumn is settled in she decides that she wants to find herself a job, Kenton instantly assumes that she has found work as a stripper and the tension mounts. One night at the hospital, a guy called Finn is brought in with a gun shot wound and he is followed in by none other than Kenton. Once he realises that Autumn is actually working as a nurse he literally pounces on her and their feelings for each other begin to take shape but the past still haunts Autumn and people are still out to find her. This was the first book that I had ever read by Aurora Rose Reynolds and as I enjoyed it so much I have already purchased another of her books which is now sat waiting for me in my reading queue. I thought that Assumption was a great book, I felt that it had it all – I found myself really getting into the story, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, I laughed, I swooned (that Kenton and his kisses!) and I felt that the story moved along at a great pace so I was never bored. In books like this, I usually find the lead female to be quite bland and predictable but I have to say that I found Autumn to be a real treat. The scenes between her and Cassie (Kentons ex) always entertained and the bed scene was probably my favourite as it really made me grin but then I love it when a psycho ex gets a bit of a smack down! There wasn't anything that I disliked in this book (OK, maybe I found the baby this and baby that a tiny bit annoying but then I don’t like the word baby as a term of endearment – it find it a little sleazy when said by a man and whiny when said by a woman) but I did find that I was struggling to keep up with a few characters that were mentioned later on in the book, I felt like I should have known who they were but I couldn't remember anything being said about them in any detail so I was a little stumped – this caused me to have a look at the other books available by the author and I found that while this is the first in this series, there is actually another series of books (the Until series) which follows the names that were mentioned in this book. I don’t think that you need to read the Until series in order to enjoy this book, I enjoyed it just fine as a starting point, but if you do want to be fully clued in on the who’s who I’d say starting with Until November is a good idea – that’s actually the book that I have waiting for me now. This book does have some sex and steamy kisses so be warned but it’s not on every page and I personally found it to be a great read – I’m hoping that the rest are as fun to read as this was!

Fun flirty and fab
Autumn is in hiding after witnessing a mob hit, the friend of a friend she is staying with us gorgeous. This could be a problem if it wasn't for the fact he is a judgemental as s. Deliberate misconceptions and a crazy ex thrown in eventually leads to them getting together, only for them to find out trouble has followed Autumn from Sin City. If you love the until series, you will enjoy this.

Loved it but those brothers from the "Until Series" have ruined me!
Autumn Freeman works in a strip club, Showing off her body is all she's ever known even though it revolts her. By day she works at the hospital as a way out of stripping. Until one night some new clients come in and something goes down. Autumn is the only witness & survivor to a big time underground killing, She needs protection and out of town and fast.Enter Kenton Mayson, Alpha male, Bounty hunter, Protector, who agrees to help out a mate and take in for a while one stripper by the name of Autumn. All Kenton's been told is that she's a stripper so he assumes she's just like the rest of them. He wrongly makes assumptions on her as a person and her profession often his mouth running before his brain.Autumn's no pushover she thinks he's an arrogant ass and wants nothing to do with him but fate has other ideas. Has Kenton finally met his match in a woman. These two share an attraction that they both try and fight. But Autumn has emotional baggage that threatens to destroy them together with the threat that someone, somewhere is out for her can these two make it work? or will fate intervene and tear them apart.Loved how we got snippets from the characters from the Until series, I did enjoy this book immensely but those previous Mason Brothers (Kenton's cousins) have completely ruined me hence only the 4 star.Looking forward to reading Kai's story, and hopefully Justin's too.

A million stars!
Another 5+ star read from Aurora Rose Reynolds...I was so looking forward to the start of a new series from one of my favourite authors and it totally lived up to every expectation.Kenton was a dark & mysterious character steadily introduced in the 'until series' but Autumn was a brand new character...this book was slighter darker than previous ones by this author but I loved it just the same.Kenton when he fell...fell hard just like all the other Mayson men but he could be an 'Ass' and Autumn was totally kickass...a strong female lead who could give just as much as she was given but underneath it all wanted love and acceptance for who she was.Once the 'Assumptions' were dealt with there was no stopping this relationship and it was full speed ahead. It was funny...cue Tubs...it was heartwarming...it was emotional and I felt warm and fuzzy at the end....yes I totally did...really!And what an epilogue...in fact Aurora is totally the queen of the epilogue's giving us many glimpses into the futureAmazing...thankyou again for a great start to the Underground Kings series and I cannot wait for Kai's story.
