reasonable price. good instructions. quality build. quiet . well built. ez to clean. water comes out of upside down J tube. unfortunately, the depth of water, 1/2" , is not deep enough for my cat to drink from it. He will watch the water from spout, for a bit and walk away. Been a month and no go. Friends of mine, have a water fall style pet watering fountain. Now, Their cats will only drink from the water fall. Oh, this unit also has a really cool, blue night light that shines through the water level window on tank. Tank holds a generous amount of water. Pump is easy to clean. If water dish was deeper ... The G Cat, might drink from it. Go figure cats !

Exactly what I needed. My senior cat is constantly begging for us to turn on a faucet. He flat out refuses to drink out of a bowl more than once. This thing caught his attention immediately. He is almost a different cat. He is way more relaxed and his fur even seems softer! I am ecstatic to have piece of mind that he is getting proper hydration, especially as an older cat. We have tried several different fountain and over the years and he turned his nose up at all of them. This one did the trick. I would recommend it to anyone with a persnickety cat.

I had made a review for this when first ordered about 4-5 months ago and wrote a positive review. Honestly, I had to come back to follow up, because this is the worst water fountain I’ve ever gotten my cat.1. We have hard water. We have a multi-process reverse osmosis system, but originally, we thought the hard water was why this thing was so nasty after two to three days.. it’s not. This COLLECTS gunk immediately due to the filters, the inability to take apart the entire thing, and the toxic plastic on the inside.2. The filters are garbage. “Multi-layered filters”? NO. Open the filter up and look inside before you hand this thing to your loved animals. It’s cheap and ONLY filters big things like hair. (Does not filter out small gnats/bugs, gunk, or bad water.3. There are WAY too many nooks and crannies that you literally would have to take apart with a screw driver to get under, or simply CANNOT get under. There is really no way to have it 100% clean all the time (even if you clean it every day or every WEEK). At first, we cleaned ours every 5-7 days. It suggests filter changes every 2-4 WEEKS. THAT’S NOT what we’ve experienced. This appears dangerous to the cats immune system. We were DEEP cleaning and changing the water of ours daily until we gave up and decided a shallow bowl of water in a NATURAL material bowl was safer, cleaner, and more functional.3. THE SPOUT/mechanics: there is a plastic piece that runs the water up through a metal spout. The spout itself comes off but the plastic piece is NOT able to be taken apart. It is absolutely disgusting. We have tried everything to clean it properly, and it’s physically impossible (you’d have to buy a new one, which seems like a massive money funnel for no reason).4. I’m going to trash this anyways, so we’re getting it tested to investigate the level/grade of “steel”, but regardless, the plastic pieces on the inside defeat the purpose of trying to stay with healthy materials.Overall, I would NOT recommend this. Unless you plan to toss it after one month (specifically and ONLY if you’re using it for a short term travel plan).. Sure you can refill it and leave it if you don’t care about the health of your animal, but I would never ever use this again.Hope this helps.

This is a great product. Easy to assemble, quiet, holds a good amount of water. I couldn’t get my cats to adopt to it but that’s no reflection on the product itself.

We bought this in October 2023 after going through a previous fountain style/brand several times due to cheap motors. This one seemed to last longer and the cats both preferred this over their last fountain.It is now April 2025 and it appears that this fountain's motor is dying. We take really good care of it, cleaning it thoroughly and changing the filters every few weeks.I'm disappointed it only lasted a year and a half. Based on the recent reviews, I'm hesitant to replace it with the same brand.

Update: I'm having to change the filter weekly. It collects gunk and it just sits there. I have her water next to her food (yes I've heard it all before, don't have their water next to their food) and it's the only place to put it right now. She is a bit of a messy eater and will drink with food in her mouth. Whatever, that's okay, that's what the filter is for, right? Idk. It's really gross. I have two packs of filters now and I'm not really sure what I'm going to do when I run out.My cat isn't able to have wet food so I needed another way to help her get her water in. It's now been about a week since I set up the fountain and it's half empty now. It's very easy to use and the glow at night is nice.

Our cat likes the water fountain and prefers it to the other ordinary water bowls. At first we left his other two water bowls in their usual places in the house as a test but he shifted to the water fountain right away. We did buy the style of fountain with a window showing the water level and we appreciate the convenience.

I purchased 3 of these water fountains January/February 2024. One for my bedroom, another for my 2nd floor loft, and a third for the Catio. I tried 4 other brands and chose the Vekonn for its combination of features. Most importantly it has the quietest pump. It only starts to make a gurgling noise when there is about an inch of water left in the fountain. This is a good thing as it reminds me to clean and refill and prevents the motor from possible burn-out. I also liked that it holds a lot of water (108oz.) The lighted window is especially convenient for an easy/quick check on the water level.All 3 fountains started to corrode after about 5 months of use. I always fill them with water from a filtered water source. The photos below show pictures taken June 2024 and March 2025.Although the fountains worked great, were very attractive, and have all the features I wanted, I would not purchase this product again. I’m sure the corrosion couldn’t be good for Phoebe. Perhaps ceramic will be a better choice.
