Great value for money. Highly recommend.
There are some really good reviews on here already and that’s was reassured me in this making purchase. We bought the 12x20 pergola in grey and am very pleased with it. The paint is really good and didnt scratch easily during assembly. Fit and finish was very good overall. Instructions are very detailed and cover all the steps in detail. Overall the value is really good. This is a big project and it will take some time. I did assembly of the parts themselves in a 2-3 hrs by myself and then the final setup and assembly of all the big pieces and actually putting it together took about 4hrs with two people. Get an impact to shave hours off using the Allen key providedPackaging was very good, 6 boxes everything wrapped in foam or plastic. Came in 3-4 FedEx deliveries in a week or so. Only complaint was that the hardware pack had been mashed in shipping and I had to go to Home Depot to get more bolts as some were missing. Also I upgraded the anchors to bigger ones. The ones provided would work too.

Great value - very pleased
If you are looking for a $20K pergola, this isn’t it. If you are looking for an economical cover solution at a good value, you’ve found it. I purchased the 12X24 version which fit my requirement perfectly. It arrived in a total of 7 boxes in two different deliveries within days of each other. It arrived about 10 day earlier than the projected delivery date. I experienced no damage and no missing parts. Assembly isn’t hard, but does involve a lot of screwing, so be sure to have your cordless drill charged and ready to go. I totally disagree with some of the time estimates that are listed in other reviews. I assembled the entire thing, by myself in about six hours. Nothing difficult, just time consuming. If you have a second person with a screwdriver, you could easily shave an hour plus off that time. The instructions are IKEA like picture instructions, but easy to follow. The few times they were a little confusing, it only takes a little bit of common sense to figure out what you are supposed to do. It would be extremely helpful to have a second person to help put the rafters in place. Putting on the louvers is easy, but probably the most time-consuming single step. If have two people with ladders doing this step, it will speed the process tremendously. Even someone just unwrapping the louvers and handing them to the installer, would cut install time a lot. The color, although listed as gray, is a brownish gray and looks fine with brown decking. All and all, very pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

Great project
Well designed and easy to put together. If your deck is close in measure (they said 113.8") but I had to redo my railings because I needed about 116 or so. DO NOT MISS THE CAULKING STEPS. My tube was defective but I also missed it because I was too busy worrying about screws, now it leaks which I can fix. I had an issue with the corner block not having thread inserts for the vertical legs to attach and it was my LAST corner so I had to take it apart and wait for the replacement part which MELLCOR was great at handling. Love the louvers, love the unit *neighbors already contemplating buying one*. It would have taken me about 6 hrs or so by myself had i not had part issue. Good paint job, pretty sturdy although no hard winds yet. Definitely would buy again and customer service was top notch

12x10, 5hrs Total Build
Let me premise this review by letting you know that I’ve been in construction for 30yrs.We are finally getting our landscaping done and it was time to build the pergola. I chose this one over others because of the style, price and reviews. My shipment came in 4 boxes and they sat for 3 weeks before I even opened them. Upon opening them today, I found no issues. The material is lightweight. You can tell the difference between this and a high end version, but after the whole thing is assembled it is very sold.My wife helped me unpack/unwrap it all. We separated all the pieces on the ground and set up a table to work on. We also separated all the screws into small jars. I got my dewalt drill out and the best setting seemed to be 1 speed at 10 torque. Your drill may be different and don’t use an impact. I have Allen drill bits and I suggest you get one for this install. BTW, if you do this, don’t throw away the Allen wrenches that come in the set because you’ll need one of the stubby ones near the end.Now for the assembly and directions. It’s all pretty self explanatory in my opinion. I watched the video a couple times and it went just as smooth. I uploaded a pic that shows plastic tag ends that needed to be cut off and pushed in flush. This will give you a better fit and a pain to do after you start getting the screws in. After you make all the uprights and side beams, you’ll need help erecting it. I was able to do it myself with an 8’ painters ladder. From opening the 1st box to cleaning up after it took me 5hrs. I cut up all the cardboard and put it one of the med sized boxes which I think held the curtains. There was also another stack of cardboard about half the size. Everything left fit into 3 plastic grocery bags. Not sure if the picture shows but it looks great and my wife is very happy. Can’t wait to chill under it this winter. Ya, I’m in CaliIf you made it this far I have bonus for you. I found these clips that bite into the inside edge and you can put a zip tie through it. I tested one out and it fits great. Perfect for lighting. Go to digikey dot com and search for RPC1090-ND. They fit the smaller zip ties but will hold any lighting string you put up and look hidden.
