So do these orbeez dry out and then rehydrate forever in the lawn? What are we dealing with here?

They will, literally, last forever. Seriously… don’t spill them in the grass. It will be a slip hazard for all eternity.

How do you store hydrated rounds?

I ordered extra rounds and my son told my grandson to put the rounds in water, not meaning all of them, just the ones that cames with the gun. My grandson dumped them all in water. So they had thousands. They did throw some out and they are storing the rest in tupperware containers.
