Excellent no-frills workout suitable for anyone!
I was looking for a new dvd to change up my workouts and was very glad to find this. If you just want a no-nonsense workout that gets the job done then this is it. Although aimed at 40+ it's suitable for anyone - male or female. James demonstrates easier versions for those who are new to exercise or who have eg. knee or back problems. The workouts are in very easy to manage chunks so you can do as much or little as you have time for. There are no complicated steps to follow so you can get the most from the workouts straight away. James has a wealth of experience and knowledge which he is happy to share as you workout together. It's only a minor criticism but James doesn't tell you how many reps you are doing of each move before you start and I do like to count down as I go through; but with the timed workouts I just counted down with the clock on screen. The dvd uses proper keep fit type exercises, so if you prefer a more dance-type session then this is not for you. Be sure to check out the hints and tips section before you start because he explains the correct technique for the moves. There's no time wasted on this dvd, every minute counts - and as with most workouts, the more effort you put in the quicker you will see results.Never thought I'd be working out with Hunter in my living room!

This is a reasonable set up presented in a straightforward manner. It is more low key than some other keep fit videos I have seen there is no hyped up 'no pain, no gain' type of presentation. Some modifications are presented for exercises for people that may struggle or have an injury. It is broken down in to several different sets such as core, high intensity, full body etc. There is a warm up and cooldown section and an introduction that explains the basic principles. Overall it provides a reasonable workout of a lower intensity than other similar products, which presumably will suit the demographic that it is aimed at. It could benefit from a counter on the screen for either time or number of reps for each set.

Weight lifting made easy
I have a number of exercise dvds but this one is in regular rotation. When i don't have the energy to complete a high impact Jillian Michael's cardio workout, I find this a great substitute. It lets you work out your muscles and there are enough pauses in between that I can sometimes drink up to a litre of water so I am not dehydrated when I finish working out. Enjoyable exercises and reasonably slow so anyone could follow.

Wish I’d saved my money .........
I had high expectations but sadly they were dashed. To be fair, it depends where you’re at fitness-wise and what you want from a workout. I have always worked out regularly and am quite fit. I prefer workouts which are varied, interesting, faster-paced, and get the heart rate up. James is clearly in good shape, but I found the format slow, boringly repetitive and not something I was enjoying at all. I forced my way through it twice and that was 2 times too many. My money ill spent unfortunately. Also found the regular loud breathing noises unnecessary and off-putting. So the charity shop will benefit from this one. Hopefully someone who buys it will find it more appropriate for their needs.

This is the one!
I actually came across this DVD by accident. After reading the reviews and watching a Youtube trailer, I decided to purchase it and I'm very glad I did. Over the years I've bought more fitness DVDs than I want to admit and few don't get moved on. This one is a definite keeper!I've done the workout a few times now and I can honestly say I love it. The workouts are simple but effective (i'm aching), James is extremely motivational and gives you full instruction as to how each movement is to be carried out. DVD contains a variety of workouts so you can workout for as little or as long as you want. An added bonus is you don't need a load of additional weights, etc, to do it. Along with some healthy eating the lbs are already disappearing. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Great Instuctor
I was looking for my usual workout dvd, when I found this. I am in my 50s and needed something new to motivate me. This is brilliant. James knows his stuff. He doesn’t rush through but explains what your doing and why. He is very motivating and keeps you going. I love using weights and he shows you how without fuss. It’s definitely gets results. Good for all stages of fitness. Though he does spare a thought for bad backs and dodgy knees. It’s divided up into 4 workouts with 6 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down. Core 14 mins Hit workout 11 mins Full body 28 mins Back stretch 9 mins You can mix up depending on time and level of fitness

Consistancy is key
I'm male 46 and use this DVD daily it has a great core workout and back stretch which is perfect for my needs. The main workout is good too though i have not used it as i train in the gym 3 times a week. I think this is a great workout DVD especially for those who are wanting to get back in shape in their forties needing minimal equipment from home, it gives sensible advice and instruction and is not overly long, I am happy with this purchase.
