I don’t want to give a bad review, however this wheelchair is not the best. The buckles and the straps are inadequate and are a “pain”!!!. The straps are not long enough to draw or pull to make the seat more sturdy once the person is connected to the wheelchair base. If the strap comes completely out of the buckle, it is a “pain” to get it back into the buckle If you are loading a person into a SUV, good luck when raising or using the lift because it will not lift high enough to get the patient into the vehicle… you will need help to pull the patient into the vehicle from the driver’s side.The only good thing I can say about this device is it was easy to assemble and it was packaged well… I want to return it for one that doesn’t use buckles and straps!!! The ones without buckles and straps are more expensive but I am willing to make that sacrifice….Do not purchase if your relative and/or patient is over 200lbs because the buckles and straps will not securely hold them…do not buy if unable to use arms or upper body because arms will have to be placed on top of bars to sit up straight and not fall backwards out of the device, even with the back bar. My mother has Parkinson’s and unable to sit-up, I thought this device would help me to transfer her more quickly and easily verses the Hoyle but it failed.Only use with a light weight person and someone who has control of their upper body. The crank could been elsewhere I do have fear of it hitting her hands but other than that it’s a great product worth money I tend to aunt alone and I can’t really lift more than ten to fifteen lbs so getting her in and out bed with ease is wonderful
