Our cat has been many scratching areas but has chosen to scratch the ends of our couch arms. We didn't want our expensive furniture messed up so I purchased these after the recommendation from my brother who has the same issue. They seem pretty sturdy and the cat has since enjoyed using them. I will say that the installation hardware they come with must assume you're cat is a tiger or something because it's a huge screw! I just tacked in with some finishing nails because I didn't want to put a huge hole on the front side of my couch arms and it's held on now for a few weeks. I also want to mention that there is some solid thin plastic inside so it's not bendable at all. My couch arms are the rounded top ones so it doesn't fit perfectly while also covering the entire front face (where the cat scratches most) so I just pushed the end tables up closer to hold the side back without nailing it on which has also held pretty good.

…Only my cat will scratch anywhere but there now.Got for the corner of my couch my cat was destroying. Looks great, however she’s a stinker so naturally just moved on to a different area or right next to it. Won’t dock stars from the product because my cat is difficult though

This comes with screws. I’m trying to protect my couch, I’m not putting screws in it. I put a stretchy cover on my couch and put the scratching pad under the cover.

Drilled it into the wall right next to a couch corner receiving unwanted attention, and my cat was happy to work her claws on this instead.

I bought this because I thought it was adhesive. Will not be screwing these onto my couches. Missed the return window now trying to figure out how to repurpose

My cats hate sisal. This keeps them from scratching the couch. They use the cardboard scratchers instead.

Suck it up and screw it to your box spring, it will save your bed. After three months or so, flip it; another three, replace it. Works great. Looks fine if you use all four screws and mount it straight, too.

Easy to install and the cat's love it. I had to cut a small corner off of one and it cut easy and looks fantastic!

Cat does not use it, not the best way to install but does not look bad attached to furniture
