Go to the size charts (usually to the left of the picture). Measure your calf and ankle. If your measurement is in between, it is safest to go with the larger size.

Q: Do these have the green or purple lines around the ankles or are they all white?

I don’t have them anymore but all I remember is a pink line around the toe portion. But I don’t think there was any color around the ankles other than white.
