Time Shelter: Winner of the International Booker Prize 2023

One paper reviewed this book as “full of great ideas”, which it certainly is. Unfortunately it lacks much in the way of plot. Whilst moving at times, you have to wade through quite a lot of padding. The decision to list out the fate of each country one-by-one over the space of 30 or so pages seems an odd one, and does not make for a great read.The beginning and end are clever, moving and thought provoking. But the middle half really doesn’t work for me.
