Q: Would this float if it were to fall in the water (sea/river)?

It might for a while but I doubt for long. The bag only has a fold over closure so it doesn't completely seal so water would get in. To be sure the bag would float you'd need something with air chambers -maybe look for the sort of bag triathletes use?
