Newday 42” Silver Ceiling Fan with 5 Blade, Quiet Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan with Remote Control for Bedroom, Reversible Ceiling Fan with LED Dimmable, Memory Function for Living Room

Bought this last year when we were decorating. Dec all done now & the fan was fitted earlier this year. As we are in the midst of a heat wave at the moment it’s a good time to give a review. The fan is excellent, it’s powerful, really quiet, even on top speed, to looks lovely & works top notch. Easy to use with the remote control. Installation by my husband was quick & easy & we are so pleased with it. It’s in the kitchen, so we are spending time sitting at the kitchen table under the fan. I consider it excellent value for money

I'm really impressed by this product. It arrived well pack. Some assembly is necessary, but nothing too difficult for a reasonably competant DIYer. Product is beautifully engineered and very sturdy, for example 3 screws and washers to hold each blade to the motor when many cheap products would use only 2, or just plastic clips. The whole thing is very solid, and surprisingly heavy. The base plate (which has to be fixed to the ceiling) is strong and easy to mount with 4 long fixing slots to give plenty of room for adjustment. Very quiet running. Definitely exceeds expectations

Very impressed with this fan. Easy to put together and fairly easy to fit (although I did use to be an electrician). The main problem I had was finding a joist which I definitely recommend doing as the fan weighs a fair bit. A joist was found and the ceiling plate secured. And once connected it does a very good job of keeping us cool in the heatwave. It looks great and even on the fastest speed it's still very quiet.

Well made, good instructions and fairly easy to assemble. Nice and quiet compared to our last ceiling fan.

Great product, I’ve bought and fitted four of these fans now , my customers very happy with the possible variation of light and the six fan speeds. Also they are very quite in operation

Got this to replace one that was much cheaper - but only lasted 7 hrs, so I guess you get what you pay for! This is a quality product with quality components. It is a heavy piece of kit so you will definitely need to fabricate a load spreader on and between joists if installing in a plasterboard ceiling to take the load. When fitted, I was super impressed with the quietness of the motor - you can’t hear it at all. The only noise discernible is I would say at levels 3 and above and that is just the fan blades against the air. For sleeping in the heatwave level I found level 1 or 2 is more than enough. Remote control works well to switch built in light on and off (and alter colour temperature and brightness). I am very impressed with this and considering buying another one for a different room. Thumbs up from me. Note: If you’re not comfortable with electrics then I would recommend getting an electrician to fit - also need to be able to access loft for making the load plate spreader.

Wow, so pleased with this fan. 6 speed fan, 3 different lights all dimmable. Fan is very quiet even when it is on the most powerful no 6. Timers for 1, 3 or 6 hours, great to turn off when you have gone to sleep. It's got a sleep mode for the fan and it goes on different speeds making it more comfortable. The fan has also got a reverse mode. While it was really hot I used this to draw the hot air away from me and not have a powerful down draught. I'm very impressed with the spec and the the price and so was my electrician who is going to recommend it.

Great product until now Developed a fault light flashe dimly when powers is on but light should be switched off because I have had over 30 days can’t find where to get help

This is a smaller fan than what we have in the rest of our house. However, it is AMAZING. It circulates the air perfectly. I love having the remote so even though you have to keep the switch on, the remote can control both the fan and light. Love the different lighting options. We normally only need to keep it on speed 1 or 2 for my daughter’s room. She’s a hot sleeper but this fan keeps her cool and comfortable the whole night! Definitely worth every penny!!

I really love those fans, but hate how long and how hard it was to attach them to the wall

Works great, but it was a little challenging to put together.
