hard wearing but could be better
I bought this as i had read reviews that it was the hardest wearing strimmer wire in the world. It is not.It is a hard wire, for sure, but it could be better. A thick bramble will take an inch off this wire. Grass is no problem, weeds are fine, but anything thick - even bracken - will destroy it.It is very good value and i will probably die before i get to use all the wire (i'm not even 30 yet) so buy it if you want bang for your buck. It's fine for normal strimming. I simply will change the wire head to the metal brushcutter head when going through bracken next time.

this stuff is very good cord , and such a large spool - how can you possibly loose ?
Really happy with this stuff , and delivered well before the 27th of april , it arrived on the 22 ! welldone pcarena , will order from you in the future . Now , lets say disregard the negative reviews about this stuff , those reviews are probably by people who dont know how to either - load the cord , or think cords for strimming concrete - its not - its designed for , grass , nettles , and most foolage - it even handles bramble - but only the new growth - this wont destroy established thicker stems .Because of its material , i found it strimmed thru my back garden in less time , than the supplied cord that came with my spear and jackson multitool . It has a reassuring whistle when the strimmer starts , telling me it has very little wind restriction / air - very efficient material . It does not snap easily , its very cost effective , and will last along time - i payed £27.00 for mine - as opposed to ebay's prices of around £36.00 upwards , ebay is not always the cheaper option - i would suggest you look around . In all i would recommend this product , im a horticulturist by trade , so i feel im more than able to give a reasonable review .

IS THIS STUFF MADE OF KEVLAR !
Normally I wouldn't have much to say about strimmer cord, this is the exception !. First off, 377 mtrs of cord for under 20 quid plus vat and free delivery.., excellent. Does it do what it's made for oh..yes but I'm leaving this reveiw as to imform buyers that, if like me you have a 25cc petrol strimmer and were using the " green " cord then this is completly different. The cord seems to be made of denser material and although that is not in itself a problem say with long grass, be prepared if strimming near stones. The heavier cord will flick them and with some force. I only let the strimmer idle while working around stone and even then they were pinging everywhere. Also I've noticed that the eyelets wear quickly with this cord. The reason for the title of this reveiw is because normally I'd have used the best part of a spool of green cord ( B&Q Homebase etc..)when tidying up around the house but with this stuff I haven't even changed the strimmer spool. It's strong gear and actually stopped the engine as oppossed to nipping the cord the few times I hit fence wire.

Will last a life time
I completely disagree with the comments made by one reviewer which says this line is lightweight. In comparison with line purchased from garden centres this is far superior. I read this review and decided to go for the 2.4 instead of the 2.0, but this review is extremely misleading. I have been buying line for years and this is the strongest yet. For the first time I have not had to let out new line after strimming two lawns. I too have to strim up to brick and concrete and this will inevitably damage the line-what do you expect?! Nevertheless, this line was much more robust than any I have tried before. It is quite thick and fiddly to put on the spindle, but overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase. This is a very long reel and I am sure will become an heir loom! I have already told my son it's all he can expect in my will.

Probably a lifetime supply for a typical user.
This line comes on a drum with a good net wrap that keeps the unspooled line in check.I use this with a petrol engined strimmer and find that for grass on banks, thick stemmed weeds and edging it hardly needs a bump feed.If strimming up to a stone wall it wears down a little but still pretty robust. All in all good value for a tough product that lives up to its description.I usually say whether or not I would buy again but with over 200 meters of this stuff on the drum I may never need to.

Amazing!
Was a little worried considering the price and some negative reviews but I shouldn't have been. Just used 5meters of this in my professional strimmer for 2hrs solid knocking back foot high grass amd weeds and there is still some left on the strimmer head. Amazing stuff!

Quality Product
This Product used sensibly is as good as I have ever purchased from any Retailer and providing one uses a Universal Reel on all strimmers at the same time always having a couple of reels wound in advance of losing the chord on one's strimmer to replace strimmer head tme can be saved when one has a large garden needing regular attention. By buying a limited quantity of chord strimming becomes an expensive exercise. 'Have no fear 'Buy this Product'.

Silverline Heavy Duty Trimmer Line - Great Product
Bought this to put on the existing empty spools of my Black and Decker strimmer. As the line is a non-standard replacement and it seemed to hold together better than the original Black and Decker line (lasts longer) I was worried that it may damage the strimmer. However, having used this for a couple of months the strimmer is perfect. The blade to cut off excess length sees to this and and as a result the strimmer has held up perfectly. Therefore, for the price, I can highly commend this product and can see that it will probably last the lifetime of the strimmer as it is much better quality than the branded line.
