Better than expected!
I bought this to replace a faulty Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which is back with Samsung again for repair (screen issues). Reliability issues have unfortunately dampened my desire for Samsung phones so thought I would try HTC again after many years since last owning one back in 2010.There seems to be a lot of negativity about this phone which revolves around the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack and the small(ish) battery. While these omissions did slightly put me off, I still went ahead as I don't plan to use the phone for music and carry around a portable power bank anyway. Let's address these two negatives further.1. No headphone port. HTC do include some impressive ear bud headphones in the box. I didn't expect much but they are actually excellent and perfectly adequate for music listening on the phone. You can also use wireless headphones.2. Battery performance is so far in line with the Galaxy S7 Edge. I am a heavy user so rarely get a whole day and typically find myself charging at around 6 pm based on the same usage. Perhaps HTC power optimization is better but this is a non-issue so far.Onto the positives. Core performance is spectacular. I have found the U Ultra to be smooth with no lag whatsoever. It just feels more refined and more intuitive than any of my previous Android phones. The home button is capacitive and also acts as the fingerprint sensor. It performs flawlessly and is incredibly quick. After a few days, the Edge screen on my Samsung became redundant but I find myself using the secondary display a lot more with the HTC. Notifications are handled well and it has a good degree of customization. Generally speaking, the software is excellent on this phone. It just feels more fluid than Touchwiz and so much faster.Looks wise, this is a gorgeous but very big phone. Know this before buying. It dwarfs the S7 Edge and is not a phone I would buy if you have small pockets. Having owned a Huawei P8 Max (6.8" screen) previously this does not bother me but it will some. The camera is decent and if you are into taking selfies you will be delighted with the quality of the front sensor. Autofocus is not as fast as the Samsung camera but image quality is on par. The screen is a delight and the speakers are decent too. There are some good phones coming out in the next few months including the new Galaxy S8 and LG G6. I have personally been put off Samsung due to recent quality control issues - exploding Notes and unreliable S7's so will give them a miss for a while. My experiences with LG have also been mixed so if you want to try something different and can get past the lack of 3.5mm jack, no waterproofing or wireless charging go for the HTC. What you get is a perfectly optimized phone, with no silly bloatware and a device that does the core things really really well.

its got a great Rear camera though
Htc should have equipped this phone with more functions and capabilities especially for its size and price such as waterproofing, wireless charging and a bigger battery. its got a great Rear camera though. tested it thoroughly and found out that its one of the best smartphone cameras ever made.

This phone is no longer working.
I bought this product 1 July 2020 and this phone is no longer working. It just froze end went off. All efforts to fix it has failed. And it's not even a year old. Please, can I get a refund for this phone. Thank you!

Falso o de segunda mano? :(
