Great undercoat
I used these for my ultramarines, it gives a nice warm base colour to start with and works great with speed paints or contrast paints directly over the top of the base coat. My new go to undercoat.

Get the temperature right and it goes on fine
Like a lot of sprays it does seem very sensitive to temperature but as long as it's warm enough it gives good, even coverage

Skulls and bones are a breeze to paint now. Great coverage and nice natural colour
Nice even coverage and perfect as a primer and base coat in one for skull or skeleton heavy models. A quick spray and a wash is sometimes all that’s required making painting large amounts of skulls and skeletons a breeze. Great paint for wargame model makers.

The quickest way to spoilt your miniature figures!! Do not waste your money on this product
Be aware this product does not produce a matt finish as stated, but a with a distinct sheen. Further more, despite warming the paint can in warm water and shaking it vigorously for 2-minutes before use, the paint rendered a strange granular texture, which rubbed off with light finger pressure after leaving it to dry overnight. The spray head nozzle is not sufficiently fine, which results in the paint being delivered in very broad span that is difficult to control. The coverage is not even although it was applied it in two thin coats and left to dry throughly before re-coating. The paint also coagulates around fine detail on the miniatures (I primarily build and paint 28mm scale figures from the ranges produced Victrix Ltd, Warlord Games and Perry Brothers), and obscuring it. In over 40-years of fine scale military modelling this is without doubt the worst spray paint I have ever used and the quickest way to spoil your miniature figures!! I tried it as an alternative to the Citadel spray paints, which I have used for a number of years and found to be both excellent for coverage, finish and durability; however, these have become considerably more expensive. In my opinion by far the best spray paint currently available is the excellent range produced by Colour Forge, which are colour matched to the ranges from Army Painter, Vallejo and Citadel ranges; Colour Forge spray paints are supplied in 500ml cans, as opposed to the 400ml cans from Army Painter and Citadel, making them proportionally the cheapest option too. The paint is delivered in a controllable manner, rendering a clean, even coat that leaves the fine sculpted detail of the figures crisp and clear; it also dries quickly to a true, flat matt finish making it perfect as an undercoat as a first stage of the painting process.

Great. Perfect color match.
Easy to apply. Don't run. Covers well. Perfect color match to their acrylic drop bottle paint range. But a little off the hue I think skeletons should have.

Utter Crap
Inconsistent. Some coats are too thick, some too thin (mostly thin on this one. Brown Leather was too think. Only one that turned out well was the blue-grey spray.) The worst part is that this particular spray left a powdery coating on my model. It comes off by rubbing it (totally dry at this point.) Amazon won’t let me refund or return this, so I’d give it a 0 if I could. Stick to better brands.

Great primer
I bought this primer instead of a GW Wraith Bone to spare some money, but in the end it wasn't quite the tone I expected : as you can see, it has more of a yellowish / sand shade, in comparison to the Wraith Bone primer (the pipe in the middle). I painted with contrast paint on top of it and it was quite okay for the darker colors, but for the lighter ones it gave a weird result. I had no problem with the can itself, even though I used it outside while it was cold. All in all it is quite a good product but don't buy it for Contrast paint !
