I received the product in a clear plastic bag (well pack and protected). The USB Onyehn VK-162 G-Mouse works wonders. It was easy to plug and play, I did some online search and found the right configuration that it almost made it work right if the box. I use it indoors and it picks a lot of satellites (fills more than 15) and you can actually see it changing coordinates as it adjusts to pinpoint the nearest location. It's accurate (Long,Lat) as close as a few houses... to a few blocks near me location. The long-lat coordinates changes as it try to get closer and closer to my location. Some times it pinpoints the houses on the other side of my physical location but... for me that's not a problem as I don't need it for GPS accuracy but for other purposes so it could be a city off but as long as it gives the right time zone it works for me. For GPS accuracy I'd use my phone LOL. but it's decent and it works. I don't think it supports PPS. But it does provide time and coordinates (long - lat).

Plugged in to the USB port on a Dell laptop running Windows 11. The COM port was successfully opened. Within one minute, a GPS fit was found and 8 satellites were found. The device worked on the first try. This is done from within my kitchen close to a window, with dense tree cover outside. The magnetic base is good for in vehicle use, but I wish it were a little stronger. It can stick to the top of the roof of the vehicle. I intend to use this to do the HPMS road survey for my work unit. I believe this is a very cost effective way to do it. It automates the process and reduces errors. I highly recommend this product.

It is inexpensive works with with raspberry pi, but the URL for windows should be a link and not a picture of a link. In typing the URL in, I found that it no longer exists. It took many google searches to find the windows driver. It appears to be seeing the data, but open CPN has not discovered it. How easy it would be for the seller to create their own drop box with a driver that works. Except for the url struggles, the gps works fine. It takes time to find itself but once it does, it moves with you well at 5 kts.

I recently went to the Galapagos Islands on a small ham radio expedition (HD8M). We knew beforehand we would not have reliable internet service. Some of the digital modes we were using for communications (FT4 and FT8) require accurate time synchronization (something on the order of half a second or less), in order to work seamlessly with other stations around the world. We had software that would sync each computer using an NMEA data stream from a GPS receiver. This allowed us to set the PC clocks accurately within a few milliseconds, far better than necessary. This receiver was ideal. It required not drivers and simply showed up in Windows 10 as a generic COM port. Once I set the software (BktTimeSync by IZ2BKT) to use this COM port for the time information, the clock stayed accurate for the whole trip. Some other recent and very notable expeditions (3Y0J and CY0S) have struggled with this same thing. They should have brought along a few of these and it could have solved the issues. We had 2 of these on 2 of the 3 computers and we were using them indoors on houses with metal roofs. Not recommended but it worked for us. KE2D
