As someone who has made many of these bracelets over the years for fun using a clip board, I can safely say that being able to keep tension on each thread makes them 100x times easier to make! The only negative of this product is that it only holds 10 threads so if making wider bracelets you'll have your extra threads loose hanging. I tried to look for a similar product that might hold more threads but didn't have any luck. Product is lightweight but sturdy enough, and for the price you can't really go wrong. Absolutely recommended for any beginners to making these bracelets.

Good piece of kit

I think this is a nice little loom for making friendship bracelets using basic knotting. Instructions are not exactly child-friendly and they need to be worked through by an adult to understand the setup and technique (easy enough therein).The board is well made and doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy and the chunky design feels tactile and perfect for younger children as well as teens. There’s a compartment on the side to house the threads; it’s not a huge amount of thread included but this is easy to restock and not too expensive (search for embroidery threads).

A present for our granddaughter's 7th birthday that she tried out immediately and successfully with only a little assistance for the first one.My only negative for this is that the box arrived in its packaging with no outer protection the postage label was stuck fast having got wet in the rain. Removing it spiked the look of the present but the contents were fine. I couldn't organise a replacement not did I receive a partial refund via Amazon, this was a very disappointing aspect of the purchase.

I bought this for my 10-year-old niece for her birthday. She was very excited to use this to make some bracelets herself and her friends. My niece has phoned me to say that she’s made the bracelets now and it was very easy to use and very fun to do on an evening. The bracelets look fantastic. A good price for a fun and creative activity.
