This has upgraded the look and function of our deck tremendously! The woodgrain beams look natural and are sturdy and attractive, without the weathering and warping issues wood presents. The retractable sunshade makes our deck usable at most any time of day now and creates a comfortable “outdoor room” at night, too. The only improvement I’d like to see is for the small, narrow canopy over the retractable shade to slope downward more so that it drains off during rainfalls. The current slope is too small, so this cover collects the rain..The customer service has been phenomenal! We were missing a few small plastic covers for the screw heads and they were mailed to us within a couple of days. When I realized I’d ordered the wrong pieces, they shipped me the correct ones immediately. Very professional and responsive.

I have been looking for an alternative to a sun shade for our deck and came across this pergola but didn’t buy it right away. Then it was updated to add a rain guard that’s when I decided to buy. Now it was a bit of awkwardness to put up but not terrible. Very pleased with how it looks and it seems to be sturdy. Now what I am disappointed with is the feature that sold me, the rain guard. Now it does protect the retractable fabric from filling completely with water but the guard itself fills with water and sags a bit.Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and can now enjoy some shade while lounging on the deck.

This pergola looks good and went together well. One small plastic piece was damaged when we took delivery but we got in touch with Customer Service who sent a replacement straight away. Good experience.

We have had the pergola up for two weeks. Since going up, we have had to reconnect the canopy poles multiple times and they kept coming apart. Then we came home to find that it had come apart and the pieces that hold the poles so that the canopy can slide had completely snapped for two poles. The pergola is now completely unusable… this took forever to assemble and will be horrific to take down.

Customer service refunded me for the curtains. I’ll rate this from 1 to 3 stars, since customer service resolved my issue. Still need to figure out what to do with the curtains. Hopefully the manufacturer can fix their design issue.The reason I wanted this pergola was for the privacy curtain. The curtain was never installed, because the holes to screw them in was only a hole and never designed for the curtains. I tried working with the manufacturer for a replacement beam, but I was told to drill screws myself! My experience and reasons not to buy this pergola:1. Bad design. Curtains will not be assembled2. Holes do not match to screw in. Be prepared to use multiple screws after they are forced in.3. Instructions are not detailed enough. I had to figure out why parts don’t fit and uninstall to reinstall.4. Cheap aluminum5. Expect curtains to ship separately from pergola.6. Missing parts and had to buy at the store.7. Customer Service sucks8. Top canopy gets snagged in the middle of the rail and isn’t a smooth open and close

Product seems well constructed and the instructions were fairly easy to follow. It does a great job keeping the sun off you for most of the day.

Looks beautiful. Does the job. Easy to install. I hope it will last a few years. Florida sunshine can be cruel.

The instructions for this pergola are the worst!!!They just have pictures and you have to guess which way things go.If there had been some words at all it would have taken far less time. (We put the middle railing on reverse so it is going to take a good hour to take apart and reassemble. Unless we want to make some new holes for the top piece.Put together lightweight (100lbs) but sturdy and looks nice. Despite the trouble putting it together. It looks great just as the picture shows.
