I wrote a review that was incorrect. I was attempting to assemble the 3 tier stand incorrectly, but in fairness there were no instructions!! I was informed by a friend that I was trying to do it the wrong way. Once assembled it is lovely. Elegant and modern and not twee which I was trying to avoid

I’m very pleased with my Afternoon Tea Stand ... very contemporary and stylish .. very slightly rocky, but not unstable when loaded with goodies and for the money very Happy indeed.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (please see update below regarding Customer Service): I bought this at discounted price (Black Friday), so price was okay on the face of it, and I did check the reviews before buying, but we were stunned by the poor the quality of the item.- The base wobbles as the bottom slate isn't flat.- There was a large chunk out of the top slate.- The "instructions" for assembly were a single picture with tags written in interesting language - eg meatal=metal, crawn=crown, incompatible stab = goodness only knows! Basically, the quality of instructions matched the quality of the item itself.- If you use the washer for the screw on the bottom slate it then sits proud of the pads so would scratch any surface it sits on (we assembled without the washer to save surfaces) - the result is I wouldn't trust lifting the stand by its handle, but it's better than creating scratches in any wooden surface it sits on.- The machining of the thread was so bad we had to redo it as the pillar wouldn't have tightened otherwise.I would have sent the whole thing back, but quite honestly it wasn't worth the hassle for the price paid. For the record, the so-called instructions state, "Have problems with the broken plates or incompatible stab? MAIL US NOW and we'll send a replacement to you immediately". Conveniently for them, however, there is no email or postal address provided. I tried to find a means of contacting them via Amazon, but there were none of the usual links to message the seller direct via the market place. Any links provided by Amazon went to the Malacasa external site and, frankly, I knew they would just direct me back to Amazon, so I gave up.When using the stand, we'll just have to place items strategically to cover the damage, will add a pad to the bottom to stop the wobble and re-tool the thread.In summary, you won't be surprised to know that I really wouldn't recommend this and, had I known just how poor the quality was, I wouldn't have bought it in the first place. Shame, as we have other Malacasa items which we have been pleased with, but this was nowhere near the same quality. Very, very poor.UPDATE:Malacasa's Customer Service has been excellent. They reached out to me and offered a full refund, which was absolutely not conditional on me altering my review. Although I stand by my review regarding this particular item, ie the quality of the stand we received just did not live up to the standard of other items we have bought from Malacasa, I was completely reassured that they acknowledged this and were keen to rectify the problem - which they did very promptly. Given the reviews of other purchasers, it's possible we were just unlucky and received a stand that somehow by-passed quality control.

Bit wobbly and fiddly putting up, but worth the effort. Look good when done.

Arrived on time, packed extremely well and my cakes looked beautiful on it, was easy to put together, would definitely recommend and buy again if I need one, I like that I can easily take it apart to save space when putting it away

Wouldn’t fit Maltesers on looks same as in pic but 10 times smaller 😤

Great Cupcake Stand. I concur with the other 5-star reviews! They were quality for the price and very easy to put together in a matter of minutes. I like the little legs on it; makes it easy to pick up and move. It looks very nice and holds many cupcakes. If there is extra space you can just space them out evenly. Overall, loved the product and I intend to purchase more for personal use and for future orders.I highly recommend it!

Happy to find that this lovely cake stand arrived in perfect condition. It was well packaged and there are no issues with the slate plates getting chipped or broken in transit. I have always loved slate as a natural material and am delighted with the purchase. It looks fantastic on the dining table and with proper handling should give a number of years of good service. It goes perfectly with the heart shaped slate cake plate I have also added to my collection.

Pratique et joli

Llegó sin ningún rasguño y dentro de plazo. Lo utilizamos para uso casero en navidad. Queda muy elegante y decorativa. Hay que lavar las pizarras antes de usarlas y apretar la base ayudándonos de alguna herramienta para que quede firme y no se mueva al coger la comida. Ha cumplido perfectamente, no puedo ponerle ninguna pega.
