Labnique 12 inch Long PTFE Magnetic Stir Bar Retriever (300 mm)

I am not sure why other reviews are so negative. For me, Labnique's Stir Bar Retriever did exactly what it was supposed to do. I was easily able to put in my beaker and retrieve the stir bar, without having to first pour out the liquid. I am using smaller stir bars, but then I also tested this on a CO2 capsule, which is quite heavy, and this retriever easily picked that up. The 12 inch length is very good for the containers I need to reach into. You can even use this as a magnetic retrieval device to pick up screws or small objects that fall out of reach.

This is okay if you need one, but there are probably others that are better. The magnet is not very strong, probably the same as the stirrer, so dependent on the combined attraction. The handle is a plastic tube with a steel rod insert to stiffen it. If you shake it too hard, the rod will come out. I guess that could be a feature if you need a flexible handle for some reason.If you found this of use, please consider clicking "helpful". Thank you.
