Cordless Hedge Trimmer, Diivoo 40V 2.5 Ah Battery with Runtime of UP to 60 mins, 21" Dual-Action Blade with ¾ Cut Diameter, 180° Rotating D-Grip Handle

I recently purchased it based on a recommendation from a friend, who had spoken highly of it after using it for some time. Having just completed my first round of hedge trimming this year, I must say that I am impressed with this product, and have decided to replace my old hedge trimmer with it.Firstly, the 180° rotating D-grip handle is a fantastic feature that my old machine lacked. This more ergonomic design allows you to easily adjust your grip depending on the shape of the hedge you are working on. In addition, three triggers must be pressed simultaneously to start the trimmer, which is an improvement on the safety features of my old machine which only required two triggers to be pressed. The size of the blade guard is just right to block most of the wood chips and branches, and the blade guard design is also well thought-out. A slot on the end of the guard allows the blade to be removed with a simple squeeze, while also preventing the guard from accidentally coming off the blade when not in use. This fully-enclosed design can also protect the blade from oxidation, as opposed to my old hedge trimmer which had a partially-enclosed guard design(as shown in the picture), resulting in rusted blades.The double-acting blade can cut in any direction from either side of the plant, increasing its manoeuvrability. The cordless design of this hedge trimmer is a fantastic feature. When using my old electric hedge trimmer, I always had to worry about the position of the cord and the risk of accidentally cutting it with the blades. With this cordless trimmer, I have complete freedom to move around and trim my hedges without any concerns about cords or wires. It has made the job much easier and more enjoyable.As for the battery, it comes with a charging base that charges the battery relatively quickly, in just over an hour. However, during the charging process, I noticed a subtle noise which I suspect may be due to the fast charging process and the cooling fan in the charging base.

This hedge trimmer was more than sufficient for tackling my garden bushes!This twistable handle is helpful for shaping and ergonomics of cutting. I was worried that a cordless trimmer would not offer enough power, but was pleasantly supplied this hedge cutters power and the length of the battery life.The product is sturdy and easy to use (not too heavy)

Impressed with this hedge trimmer even from the packaging.Well protected in transit there is only the trimmer itself, the battery charger and the battery.The battery has a charge indicator just from pressing the button on the battery so that's useful.It's always wise to fully charge any battery before first use so I did that.The trimmer has some nice features, rotating handle that can be locked upright or at 90 degrees depending on how you use it.The 'teeth' section which was well ground and oiled is protected by a plastic sleeve that you have to pinch on one end to slide it off.Once the battery is fitted and it slides into the bottom of the handle with a click - there's a safety bar you need to pull back with one hand and then another button and trigger you press with the other - sort of standard but good safety features.Run time on a full charge I am getting 45 - 55 minutes so that's not bad and there's plenty of power going through branches up to about 10mm. Battery power means its fully portable and whilst it's not exactly light it is nicely balance round the main handle once the battery is fitted so easy to use.At the current price it's not a low cost solution but if the quality is there and it lasts that's a positive.

Works well

The media could not be loaded.  This is a well designed hedge trimmer with some great features, the blade guard requires you to squeeze the end in order to remove it, it does not just slide off. The battery fits inside the machine rather than hanging below, and the end handle can be rotated to make using the cutter at different angles more comfortable. To start the cutter requires a safety catch to be pressed to release the main start switch and the top handle trigger needs to be pressed as well which prevents accidental operation. The battery is 40V and so presumably the motor is also 40V. The cutter certainly has power to spare and makes short work of even thick branches. The blade is double acting so it cuts in both directions and has wide jaws so it can accommodate approx. 20mm branches. The battery charger incorporates a cooling fan which is a bit unusual for these sorts of chargers, a green LED clearly shows when the battery is charged. The battery also has a state of charge pushbutton to check the charge level. All in all this is appears to be a quality product that has been well thought out, it also has a 2 year manufacturers warranty which is great.

The media could not be loaded.  This cordless hedge trimmer is lightweight, and the rotating handle is very comfortable to use. It has a protective cover for the blades when not in use, and it’s easy to remove the battery which charges up quite quick with the included charger. The cut is wide which makes it ideal for cutting through thick branches, we’ve tried it out on a few of the bushes in our garden that have gotten a bit too big and it cut through them with ease! You’ll need to use steps for larger bushes, but it gets the job done quickly with nice results and is quiet too. Overall, really good hedge trimmer, build quality feels great, much safer and easier to use compared to a corded trimmer and the battery life is decent!
