Works great for my birds!
I was looking for a substitute light for my birds since the days are shorter and this light works great! They seem to enjoy it just fine, no issues or problems. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something for your birds. I’m sure it works great for people too, but not what I got it for. I just have it sitting on top of the cage.

Touchy buttons.
Can be tough to turn on. Touch buttons can be, well touchy. If your having trouble turning on the device, try unplugging it for a moment. Should work just fine after you plug it back in.

Seems Like a Good Value: Has 10,000 Lux, Minimum for Benefits. Compact, Easy to Use.
It is a lot to ask of this very small light—to resynchronize my circadian rhythm, make me more alert, boost my serotonin level. But with consistent use a light therapy lamp might help. I have actually used such lights in the past, before the technology improved. Now it is known that 10,000 Lux, the amount of light that this unit can generate, is the minimum needed for boosting mood, for having physiological effects. In the past the lights I have used were bulky, big, and expensive. I had to orient myself toward them, turning awkwardly to get my face next to them. I would have to find a place on my nightstand to keep them, and because they were so large and ugly, they tended to dominate a room. This little flat screened sun-light is discrete and compact and so inexpensive. It resembles a tablet. You can sit with it as far away as 24 inches and still get benefit while you wake up, drink your coffee, read your email, or whatever. (It is recommended that you sit with it at an angle for an hour a day.) It has a step-up feature that increases brightness. You can adjust the color and it has a memory feature and a timer.I am giving it a try in a part of the country where we don’t see groups of fully sunny days until June. It takes a while to see results in my experience. Its compactness means I can travel with it. Its affordability means that I can get one for a friend who could use a boost.I can't predict how well it will work after only a week of use. It does need to be used at full power to have a beneficial effect. Its frame and screen are made of plastic; I can't tell how durable it is, either. But it seems like a good value, even so--a good bet. I therefore assign it five stars.

The verdict is still out
I got this lamp because like a lot of people, I work remote which has resulted in me being vitamin d deficient. I haven't had it very long to know if my vitamin levels have gone up but it definitely feels like the sun on you lol. Also the instructions aren't much help, they say to hold the power button down to control the color temperature but it's actually the temperature button that changes it. Either the instructions are wrong or I have a different model. I do recommend facing the lamp downward, not using the stand when you initially turn on the lamp bc the first setting is BLINDING. I'm sure that setting is used when you're relaxing with shades on bc there's no other way to use that setting. Again, too soon to see if this changes anything but I do like the concept and for under 30.00, not too pricey

Cute and bright for use in small spaces. Buttons are a bit sensitive but overall a good choice

Functional, bright but still trying to figure it all out
I have always wanted one of these but never pulled the trigger on buying one, spent months reading reviews, couldn't figure out the lights or which one to get and long and behold one popped up to review so I got it. Well its great, bright and functional - but I can't figure it out or which setting is for what BUT that's a ME thing so don't be spooked. I guess I just don't know if I'm doing it right?!I have it in my bathroom and then I move it to my desk area if I'm in there for a long period of time. Its extremely lightweight, about the size of a tablet, but comes with a very short cord but can be plugged in via USB to the computer. Can easily be packed for travel as well.Definitely worth buying like I said, I just need to figure my life out and get the shades of light figured out for myself.

Really Helps During the Dark Winter Months!
We have had such a long, dark winter that I was really missing sunlight. This light therapy lamp helped me feel more alert and upbeat and I felt a difference, especially when using it in the morning right after I woke up. The screen has several different settings - warm vs. cool light, as well as varying degrees of brightness - and you can set it on a timer for 20, 40 or 60 minutes. I usually use the 20 minute feature while I snooze or play on my phone before I get out of bed. I am not a natural morning person and it really helps me get up and going at the start of my day.An instruction booklet is provided with the light, but it doesn't recommend or explain the different types of lights or brightness. It is left up to the user to test them out or research what type of light would work best for them personally. I also have a difficult time with the buttons. The buttons are on the side of the light and it is easy to hit them by mistake. Even running your fingers along the edges of the buttons to find the one you want can trigger them when you don't really mean it. It also makes it difficult to hold. I would prefer the buttons be on the front for easy access. The light comes with a charging cord that is app. 4 feet long. You can also plug it into a USB port to get it up close where it will have the best effect. The light therapy lamp is lightweight, easily portable and at a great price point to try and see if the light therapy helps you.
