I found this CD very useful but unless you study the runes, it is definitely not an easy listen!

I met Freya once, at an all day workshop on Asatru. She is an extraordinary lady. Very hard to describe. I suspect she is like the old saints! Totally driven by her belief and her calling and either driven by the gods or a nutcase! I do remember her singing the runes and there was something happened in that room. The power was indescribable. So I think I wanted to recapture that. This did not do it.

0875420230I am trying to learn and understand Rune writing, and this CD was to give me some understanding of the Runes. I found the pronunciation of the runic words helpful, but the ladies pronunciation and the heavy background music was slightly unhelpful.

Die CD ist sehr gut, aber nicht 100%.Es sind Anrufungen, keine Songs. Auch hätte ich die altnordische Sprache erwartet, und nicht gerade Englisch. Trotzdem ist die CD sehr gut gelungen. Eine Veröffentlichung auf altnordisch wäre eine gute Neuauflage.

I bought this CD as a separate purchase to accompany the book by the same author. Highly recommend both together. I loved the book and the CD is the perfect compliment.

I just think its purely interesting and hypnotic. Nothing else like it. I also bought a CD for my friend, and he loves it too. We both follow Asatru.

I have trouble keeping this CD on. The singing is dreadful. Her voice is horrible. It sounds like she is calling the devil. My kids leave when it is on. I can not recommend this CD, it's just not good.

Laut Cover beinhaltet diese CD Songs/Chants, also Lieder/Gesänge, die Namen der Titel vermitteln den Eindruck, daß diese in nordischer Sprache gesungen werden.Zu hören sind jedoch - hier und dort durch Instrumente untermalte - in Englisch gesprochene Anrufungen.Diese haben sicher ihre Qualität, doch es ist nicht das, was ich dem Titel der CD nach erwartet habe.
