May not be appropriate for seniors who are out of shape
This is a wonderful program. My problem is that some of the exercises are too hard for me to do. I'm 66 yo. I've been sedentary due to my job which involves both sitting and driving, 40 hrs week. I am also out of shape due to covid closing of the gym. I did the program one day and it caused me much pain, because I'm so out of shape. Perhaps the developers could prepare an additional program more geared for seniors. The company was very responsive with adaptations though. I think this will be excellent after I get the kinks worked out with PT, and I plan to retry it after my 6 weeks in PT.

The program is a great help for low back and hip pain
This seller was awesome to work with when I had a problem with the book. They responded right away and over-delivered. They are fantastic and I really, really appreciated it.I have done the exercises probably 6 or 7 times (and not even on consecutive days because I got sick) and I can already tell a difference. My chiropractor has been recommending this book and dvd as she has found it helpful for herself and her patients. I cannot do one or two of the exercises due to other issues in my body but this program is still working for me.I have to be honest though, you can tell this isn't a super polished, professional produced book and dvd. The pictures in the book are a little hard to see and comprehend. Watching the video will help. The video isn't professionally produced either but gets the job done. And I say this with the greatest compassion for the exercise model (please know that I am not a hater and appreciate you doing this video so I can benefit) but I have to be honest and let you know that the video can be a little hard to watch. She looks like she would rather be eating cut glass than doing these exercises and that makes it hard to watch. I don't feel an infectious, high-energy, positive vibe from the video which would make me want to watch it over and over and get on board with the program. But it doesn't matter. You can watch it a handful or two times and you will know the routine and not need the guidance of the video any more.If you are dealing with low back pain and/or hip pain I think you should try this program. For half the price (or less) of a visit to a chiropractor you may have the solution (or at least something the helps) in your hands. It doesn't take very long to do the program -- maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I have been doing it for even less time as I am starting with only one round of everything and I have still noticed benefits.

Improvement by Day 2!
I felt improvement in my hips and back in 2 days! I've done the 10 exercises in sequence in the morning for 7 days in a row - and my hips are finally "unlocking". I notice the difference when I get up after sitting, when I first get out of bed, and when I'm walking. I had been reading about the hip flexors and psoas muscle and putting together stretches I found from other sources. I do sit a lot for my work so I knew my quads and glutes were part of the problem also. While the stretches I did felt good and brought some temporary relief, they weren't actually correcting my problem and some days I actually felt worse. I appreciate how Rick goes in to detail describing the the science of our anatomy and physical dynamics - understanding why and how is important to me. I find it amazing that I was so unfamiliar with the Psoas muscle which really is one of the most important muscles in our body! I give the information, exercises, and written instructions 5 Stars. The reason for my overall 4 star rating is that the photos in my book were slightly muddy - not very sharp and clear and the DVD exercise demonstrations were helpful for understanding form and position but I the instructions were a bit too fast at first for me to pick up all the nuances. But those two points aside this has been an awesome investment in my health and I've been recommending it to friends and family - thank you!

Helpful resource for resolving hip flexor issues
This book and CD has very good information about the hip flexors and how they affect just about everything you do moving from point A to point B. My chiropractor had to make some adjustments to my lower back, particularly with my left hip being out of alignment. I couldn't even pick up a weight, without pain. He noted that my hip flexors seemed to be weak. Well, this book has everything you need to fix weak hip flexors or even loosen up tight ones. The exercises are easy to do. My glutes are now activated, I can squat better, do leg raises and hip bridges with full range of motion, and I can do lunges without pain to my knees. I highly recommend getting Unlock Your Hip Flexors.

Very pleased so far!
I bought this item for my sister who has struggled with a lot of pain in her hip flexors for about 10 years. She was very, very happy that I purchased this video for her. She told me that the video thoroughly explains why the hip flexor pain is so difficult for most people to relieve. There is a process that one has to go through to be able to reach the muscle that is needing to be stretched. The people that made this video are obviously very knowledgeable and they present the facts in an easy to understand way. I can't say at this point whether their stretching exercises work or not because my sister has only watched the explanation for the pain but the educational portion of this video indicates that the creators of the video know what they are doing and have the answers to this problem.
