Is this microwaveable?

Yes, But we don't suggest to put in the mircowave.

Will the ants get into the bowl?

NO, I put vegetable oil to the moat, ants die in the oil.

Maybe I missed it, but how many ounces does this bowl hold?

I measured 2 cups (16 ounces ) and it was filled to the brim.

How much water will the moat hold?

Not much, it is a little thinner than it looks in the pictures - it is very helpful to have though. Our dog ends up trying to lick the water out of the moat when it gets in there.
