Glitchy
On the initial day, it performed admirably. However, from the following day onwards, it strangely failed to detect my face or body. Perhaps I'm just not camera-friendly, haha! I bought it with the intention of using it while painting on canvas, but it proved to be extremely exasperating. Personally, I prefer not to record in widescreen format since, when uploaded to social media platforms, they tend to appear minuscule and cropped. Vertically was glitchy and couldn’t capture what I intended.

Great Linear Tracker
This is a very cool auto-panning tracker. It is lightweight but well-constructed, and very simple to use - a single button on (and for pairing), a mount bracket for your phone on top with a bubble level, feet on the bottom for resting it on a flat surface, along with a threaded inlet on the bottom for mounting. You install the app (there are several from Pivo to choose from), pair the unit with your phone, and you’re good to go. It highlights the face/body/item it’s tracking, and has intuitive controls to let you select how aggressive it is in following your movements. It talks about the use of AI in the tracking, though I’m not entirely clear in what capacity - suffice it to say, it does a good job, and the controls are effective. The auto-zoom features enabled with tracking, you can make professional-quality videos. I was able to test both while in a conference call (I am a pacer), as well as with dance, and it does a remarkably good job of following its assigned subject smoothly - it looks like you’ve got someone operating the camera for you.The main limitation is that this is a single-axis tracker. Though it can use zoom effects to keep the video interesting, you are limited to left-right tracking only - if you get too close to the camera, or need a range of vertical space beyond what you can capture in-camera, you’ll find your subject will be clipped. This makes it great for presentations or action where the subject is roughly at the same fixed distance, but you’ll need to rehearse and mark the performance space if you’ll be moving closer to the lens.

This is NOT for Dog Agility videos.
For anyone who is considering this item as a tool for making video of Dog Agility trials or practice. The Pivo will quickly lose you as you run out of frame. It also does not reliably track the dog (it seldom even picks up the dog) instead only following the handler. I really wanted this to work, but it's not there yet. To support my review I found the following disclaimer on the Pivo Facebook page: Portrait mode for Dog Tracking is now available on the Pivo+ app! Capturing fun moments with your dog and sharing them with others is important, and now you can create content tailored for social media with 360° Dog Tracking. Note: While we encourage you to have fun with this mode, it’s not ideal to use for recording training sessions or when your dog is moving at a fast pace. Learn more about it here.

A must have for social media enthusiasts!
This auto face tracking phone holder is awesome! You're able to make dance videos, vlogs, and live streams with ease. The phone holder can be set to track your body or face so you're able to hone in on your professional digital creation skills without the need of assistance from a videographer. This device is excellent and is made with high quality materials. I would highly recommend this device to any social media enthusiast/digital creator. 10/10

Well…
Well I got one and it didn’t work well it didn’t let me charge and they sent me one. That’s the good thing about it but I return it because If the first one didn’t work what make me think the 2nd one will work. And it don’t come with a remote or tripod. They want you to spent more money on the remote and tripod. If all those come together then it cost more.

Serves the purpose... but not with high-flying colors.
This is a very handy, portable device that allows you to record hands-free. Good for the likes of V-Logging, YouTube, Tik-Tok, Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, etc. It definitely works better than some face-trackers that I've used in the past... but not as well as others.Sturdy and well constructed. Sleek, modern design. Good face/body recognition. Don't move too quickly, though... and be prepared for a bit of lag-time. Lateral (side-to-side) panning only. No tilt/vertical (up-and-down) tracking. Tripod-compatible.So far, I am happy with the product... although not overly ecstatic. Good+, but not excellent. Decent comparative value, too. Overall, 4.4 stars...

Works well, on its own terms
Pros: This device connects easily to my phone, through the Pivo app, and works great. It detects a face quickly and stays locked in easily. It has a serviceable phone holder mechanism, but that can be switched out with any holder or device with a tripod screw port. The included holder has a nice little spirit level built in, which is very nice, and the device itself has three little slide out feet to add a smidge more stability, and has its own tripod port, so it can be mounted wherever you want it.Cons: The Pivo app has a lot of bells and whistles and is pretty snazzy, but it feels pretty limiting with my fancy Samsung camera. This also means it can't be used with action cams, DSLRs, or anything that can't use the app. Being locked into the Pivo ecosystem means there's a lot of my gear, i.e, remotes, other cameres, that don't work with this device. All is all, it's a great tool, within its own bubble.
