Amazing
I brought this product away on vacation with me to help me feel more secure about staying in a hotel room with my child so. This prevented anyone from entering my room also prevented the children from exiting the room. I couldn’t have asked for a better product.

Easy to use
Safety is key while traveling. This is an easy way to stay safe while traveling alone or with your family. Great purchase.

Awkward
Awkward. Any gap and it doesn't work. I have an older house with four outside doors and this product only works on one door.

Make sure your door jamb has space.
I returned these because not all my doors had the space needed between the lock plate and door to accommodate these.

Added safety for traveling.
I got these for a friend and myself. We meet up a few times a year and for added piece of mind, I got these just in case. We also do solo trips, so this is just an extra layer of security for each of us.We know not everything is perfect, but any deterrent is better than none. It's pretty easy to use and small enough to fit in a suitcase without any issues.

Works even if the door is unlocked
The media could not be loaded. There are a lot of reasons why someone would want one of these. Simply an added layer of security at very little cost is top of the list.Any time a landlord, or anyone else, has a key, it is not a bad idea to have another way to keep the doors secure. Hotel rooms would be another good place to have one of these in use. My favorite part about how these work is that they work even if the door is unlocked. Great for bedroom doors that don't have a lock on them. They can even help if a door is simply too loose and comes open too easily. This can be a simple fix. There are a few reasons that these might not work. Older doorknobs have differently sized pieces and it might not fit. If your doors are newer and standard sized these should work fine. In my video I show an example of it working the way it is supposed to and then several examples of where it didn't fit and couldn't be used. All in all I love these locks. They are really simple and incredibly effective. They take up very little space. They do not cost very much at all.I gave one of these to a young female friend of mine who lives alone and we both sleep better knowing she has it on her apartment door. I can use one on my bedroom door if I ever felt the need. And since they are so small I can always take one with me travelling. Definitely worth it for the extra security and peace of mind.Five stars.

It really works!
I was a little skeptical when browsing through the pictures as it wasn't obvious there are two metal tabs that slide into the latch / bolt hole in the door jamb and secure the lock when the door is closed. Once I realized that was how it works, it didn't take much figuring out which size I should use, just make sure you switch the lobster clasp to the small hole on the other side so you can close the door.In operation it took a little finesse to use as it was hard to hold it parallel to the door jamb while closing the door. I found it easier if it's at a slight angle away from the door where the tabs are just touching the strike plate and use the closing door to slide the lock into place. Once the door is closed just slide on the metal / plastic latch and make sure it is flush against the door to prevent the door from being opened, yeah it's that easy.A word of warning, make sure when you open the door the door latch or bolt complete retracts into the door. With one of our doors the latch didn't completely retract ⁷ the door making it near impossible to unlock because the latch didn't clear this lock. That's not a knock against the lock, my door was clearly not in good working order and it has never been a problem, until now.
