How The West Was Won

The content of this album is so well known there is no need for me to describe here any of that. If you are not aware of the content, then an online search should provide a suitable amount of praise for the musical content, it being so well known to many. Instead, I can state that the vinyl quality and the album cover quality is high. The sound quality although high, is reminiscent of early recordings so is uncomplicated whilst revealing sufficient soundstage detail to make the listener appreciative of the content. You can almost see the movie whilst listening, assuming of course you have seen it in the first place.

Great music.... some of the best ever written.... from a great western.... one of the greatest ever made.

Not at all impressed with the sound quality but it maybe no original quality master exists.Sounds muffled and lacking in dynamic range.

repetitive - too long - and boring - I originally brought the LP of the soundtrack and played it over and over again - this CD was never-endingly boring.

Quite simply, one of Alfred Newman's finest scores, which makes it one of the best ever written. We shall not see its like again.
