Not worth it.
This is one of the most useless books to buy when learning or doing the FREC 3 course as everything in the book is different when you do your exam e.g burns in the book are not what you are allowed to put down on the exam paper or pedi CPR in the book is 5 breaths 30 to 2 but resus council is 5. 15 to 2. Also when you look for fractures in the book you get a load of different pages to look at but on most of them pages no where do they talk about fractures at all and when you do find a small bit about them it only explains how different types of fractures are caused if you didn't know what a fracture was you wouldn't learn it from this book. There are better books out there to learn ambulance stuff.

Not terribly well laid out
The content is good, it is however laid out in such a way that the reader is flitting from subject to subject rather than following a logical trail. Still worth having as a reference book though.

Brilliant
Highly recommend this book to anyone completing the Future Quals level 3 diploma. Extensive coverage of many subjects, but interesting and easy reading.

New to the Ambulance service ,ECA or equivalent this is for you.
Very good lots of useful information. When you're starting out as ECA this is the book to get. If you're a technician not really for you as there are more advanced books out.
