These are very nice gas masks

UPDATED 8/23** bad fit, serious pain on nose bridge, decent material, not one size fits, leaks
**UPDATE 8/23** : Talking with customer support was horrible and I was plainly told I was wrong. That's really sad they would not listen to a customer telling them their product actually causes pain. And on top of that has serious problems that could cause injury or even death. Stay far away from this brand/seller!!!!I had mixed hope for these masks. And sadly I was very let down. I have a fair amount of experience with gas masks due to military service. I know how to properly fit test and evaluate safe function, etc. I had serious hesitation when they stated they are one size fits all from kids to adults as that is just simply not possible. But I figured there was at least a good chance it would fit the average adult. I have always worn either an extra large or a large-long depending on the manufacturer of the mask. In the case of these masks, they do not seal on me properly at all. I can get a good seal around the forehead, down to the cheekbone, and around the chin. However, the cheek area has that wonderful flappy loose seal problem. Which if you are in a serious situation that means death. So I would suppose that if you are more of a rounded cheek individual that would normally take a large size mask these may seal OK around there. If I press in on the leaky areas of the cheek and force a good seal, then the valves seem to work as they are supposed to and I am able to draw a bit of pressure vacuum. There are also secondary leaks around the voice box and possibly somewhere else I cannot quite locate, but achieving a proper vacuum is not quite possible, but is close. However, that comes at a great cost…This is where we come to the next problem. The nose bridge area impacts me something fierce and causes severe pain after just a few seconds. And I do NOT have what anyone would call a prominent nose or bridge. There is no way I would wear these for any length of time even as a costume piece!!! They don’t even need to be drawn tight for a seal to cause pain. This bridge area should be malleable rubber to form to your nose bridge, but these are very hard rubber or plastic. Now we go to the materials. Again after having a lot of experience with multiple brands of masks, the harness on these feels much cheaper than most I’ve felt. But it does seem like it could work. For how long? Who knows. But it does stretch and draw tight and stay in place without shifting due to too much give. The buckles are as easy to adjust as any other good mask I have used. The other materials feel pretty decent, but there are marks of not being perfectly constructed. If not for the lack of proper fit and pain caused, they could be great costume pieces. But then if that’s the point, they are insanely overpriced for props. While the materials may be decent, there are also quite a few defects in molding. There is flashing in many places that are visible and quite possible in some that are not. This flashing absolutely will cause poor seals if it remains in certain areas. I found plenty around the voice box seals and around the eyepieces. These may be responsible for the leaks I was unable to locate.Due to all the previous issues, I did not bother to open or inspect the filters or the canteens. I cannot make use of this gear for $100/ea since I trust my 3M full face respirator far more than I trust these. They are absolutely getting returned!
