Great for deterring pigeons
We had a big problem with lots of pigeons coming into our garden. We put several of these at different points in our garden and they have mainly put off the pigeons from entering our garden. Beware however, they seem to deter a lot of the other smaller birds but we have had to sacrifice that for the peace of not being overwhelmed by the pigeons. They were quite easy to put together after following the simple instructions. They are quite sturdy and are surviving the variable bad weather we are having. Very good quality and excellent value. They also look great - would highly recommend.

No instructions & instruction video on Amazon is wrong
Putting the windmills together was a very frustrating process as no instructions are included in the packet. There is an instruction video on Amazon but it’s wrong! The pieces are connected in the wrong order in the video - fyi the order is first yellow connector, bring the pieces of the windmill in, then put the large holographic flower on top, then the other piece of yellow connector. The video shows the large holographic flower going on after the 2nd yellow flower connector but if you do this the hologram flower isn’t secured so just falls off.Once you work out the instruction video is wrong and work out how to do it yourself… the end result isn’t too bad. The windmills seem sturdy and look the part. Let’s hope they are actually sturdy and stop the pigeons for pooing all over my garden!

The pigeons love them!
I enjoyed building the windmills and they look so pretty in my garden, but the birds are not bothered by them. The wood pigeons are quite happy sitting on my garden fence right next to a windmill that is turning fast in the wind! So.. not really bird scarers!

Good pigeon scarers
Would definitely recommend these. Easy to assemble, extremely well priced. I put them in pots on my patio because I was fed up of pigeon poo everywhere. They spin well even with a light breeze. But… it’s not just the pigeons that don’t come anymore, haven’t seen a bird in 3 days! Be careful what you wish for !

Tough and durable!
After buying slightly cheaper ones that didn't last in the wind, these are tough and do last- brilliant reflections and doing a good job as bird scarers on a boat and balcony. They keep the pigeons off!

Bought these to scare off Magpies from pulling the heads off my flowers then throwing them away.
Amazon delivered these the next day well within 24 hours.I’ve only just put the windmills together, so have relied on other purchaser’s reviews telling me they are effective scaring Magpies. The instructions are a bit lacking, relying on pictures. Picture 3 tells you to “pass the 7 corners of the windmill through A in order and fix it on E”.It should really say “Place the holes in the 8 end corners over A in order going around the blade. Hold them all onto E with a finger. You may need to pull carefully the next corner over the blade just placed. Be careful to twist all blades the same way.”I did a dummy run putting together my first windmill to get the idea. If you don’t push F too hard into E you can still split F and E apart and go back to the beginning.I have deducted a star because the instructions weren’t so clear to me, but then I am a pensioner. But the product works well, and are large enough (about 8 inches) to scare unwanted birds from seeds etc. They are made to last, and are great value over other similar smaller windmills. An additional point I discovered was that the direction of rotation depends on how you place the blade onto A.The red circular part shaped like daisy petals onto A first: ANTICLOCKWISE.The smooth edged red circular part onto A first: CLOCKWISE.
