Must have accessories
If you are editing on the phone or Tablet, This reader is a must for quick editing. Every time I have to download the footage one by one because of limited storage space in my phone.(for smooth edit) This reader makes it so easy and fast. the material is excellent. just take out the micro sd from the device and put it in this reader and plug it on my phone and edit it just like the internal storage.Also I can record on the card when I plug on the side of the insta360 one X3 usb-c port. Love it after using it for couple of days.compatible with Apple and android. highly recommended.

Super useful.
When you use this, it bypasses the memory card in the camera and goes right to the memory card in the quick reader. When you’re done shooting, you take this off the camera and plug it into the lightning port in your phone so it reads the files quickly. Way quicker for downloading and no Bluetooth/WiFi connection required.You do have to remove one of the covers on the camera to use this, but it comes off easily and this stays on very securely.Note: you can’t have this installed on the camera and attach the phone at the same time, it’s one or the other.

Doest work with app
This worked once with the app. Now every time i try to use it i get a message ( in Chinese) telling me the drive path is incorrect. No way what so ever to change it so the reader is gathering dust in a drawer. Ps dont look on insta for help on their website because you wont find any help there. Save your money and give this a miss.Insta contacted me regarding this poor feedback. Unfortunately their " team" were worse than the defective quick reader. A very simple task like reading an email was beyond their capabilities, basic sentences were beyond their grasp. The team just reinforced my original thought that this item and this company is best given a wide birth and avoided. there are lots of other reputable brands to choose from other than these. Do not say you haven't been warned.
