“Loyalty Takes Some Dark Forms”
An FBI procedural storyline that has some aspects a reader may find annoying, but NOT without merit. For instance Riley Page is a top notch FBI Agent who really understands the criminal mind. But her boss’s boss is a unintelligent jerk who doesn’t appreciate Riley, and constantly micromanages her, which causes Riley to have to ignore his orders. Riley has an unusual relationship with a prisoner, nicknamed “Shane the Chain” because he liked to “beat rival gang members to death with chains”. He has been in prison for thirty years and recently escaped. Another prisoner was released early for good behavior, which was an act. He wants revenge on Riley and figures her 15-year-old daughter’s death will bring him joy.Riley and her partner, Bill, have their work cut out for them. Those two prisoners seem to be connected in some way. And what do her ex-husband, a neighbor, and Bill have in common. This is a complex story with twists and some dark moments. It is an entertaining read and the ending makes me want to read the next book in the series.

Unrealistic Personal Relationships
I continue reading the series because I'm OCD. I don't dislike the books, but, there's something unrealistic about the characters. yes, it's unrealistic for agents in any book to have so many things happen. I get that. but Riley and her relationships don't gel. her work chain of command isn't realistic. she's off the case, on, off - no insubordination issues? so many of these things have me facepalming. here's a BIG one - WARNING - - SPOILER ALERT - - - - at the end of this title, April's behavior (and shouldn't she have been cautious after her own traumas?) leads directly to the death of an agent - and no one mentions that??? Riley - an agent herself - - doesn't say a word! any parent would have said/done SOMETHING!so, the unrealistic personal relationships bug me. I won't even start on Jilly. I'm into the next book. Aaaaagh. I keep going because I'm invested. like a train wreck. 3.5 reviews of I could.

Riley Paige - True definition of a heronine. Broken but up for the challenge
I have devoured this series. The story lines, plot development, coupled with the realism of the characters have had me entralled from the first page of the first book. I feel for Riley Paige, every decision, every set back, every ounce of energy it takes to step back from reality into the deep crevices filled with twisted delusions of the men she is hunting. I also love the fact that despite all odds the good guys always win out. Cannot wait for the next book in January.

Absolutely love this series
I love this series! Do you like psychological thrillers? How about DID it other crime shows Then these books are a must. The main character Riley has a fantastic mind to catch the criminals. Blaine Pierce did a wonderful job creating Riley and the books never have a full moment. Each character is well developed and crime are detailed and creepy. I feel like a part of the story it is so descriptive and realistic. Can't wait to find out how it all ends in book 13. A MUST READ!

Argent, Wrong and Full of Himself
The heading line for this book describes the Head of the BAU (Behavioral Apprehension Unit) and the two twisted killers one from early release of Sing Sing Prison and the other that escaped Sing Sing Prison. True Blake Pierce fashion.

Once Hunted
What an improvement! Riley is still damaged but much more focused. She and her daughter, April, are finally developing a mature relationship. The story was also much more suspenseful. Two new characters were introduced, Blaine and her first partner. The villan is diabolical. Her convict confidant is almost supernatural. Good book.

Awesome series!
Love this series! Riley Paige is such a badass character and the behavioral analysis factor is really intriguing. I haven't been able to stop reading this series since I received a copy of Watching (The Making Of Riley Paige #1) as part of a giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I'm hooked

I can't stop
I cannot stop reading this series. I'm now on to the 6th book in this series. I love Riley Paige and I am beginning to take a liking to April. I like the mystery and suspense that keeps me turning the pages. I started with book 1, and now can't wait to start book 6. Yay.

I was completely disappointed. The book is so predictable and becoming boring
I have been intrigued with the series until the book nr 4. By the time I have finished it, I was completely disappointed. The book is so predictable and becoming boring. Book nr 5 is even worse! You know by now that there will be personal involvement from agent Paige; that after so many times being close to dying she still won't wait for a backup...; That her boss, after she has proven him many times that she's always right, he still will take her off the case! I mean every single time!! Come on... That's only some of the things that are anoying about the series but I wouldn't want to spoil the fun, by pointing out more, for these who somehow still enjoy it. I won't be buying the next book. I would ask for a refund for this one if I could.
