Q: Does this work on pine needles

Yes it works on pine needles and moss but better if you add 5lbs to each arm. Also to remove moss completely you need a York rake and sun. Cut the freaking trees back!

Q: Will this work to pull up moss?

Not very well. In fact, it does not work well to pull up thatch, especially when making turns. I returned the one I bought.

Q: Question before buying...where can one get parts for this tool?

you can only get parts from manufacturer a parts list comes with the rake ( to do it over I would buy the one that had 4 wheels throwing leaves or grass in one direction)
