Pretty, but not particularly useful in most cases.
This is a beautiful bookmark, seems to be of good quality, but the "marker" part of the bookmark is really too thick to be used as an everyday bookmark for most purposes. The crook hangs over the binding of a trade paperback pretty well, but with a hardcover, one really has to push the bookmark up to the binding for the crook to hang properly over the back, and that's not good for the book. I have some nice magazines that are about the size of the small newsstand puzzle books; I'd imagine this bookmark might be fine with them, but I was actually wanting something I could use with a book. For that reason, and that returning it would be a pain, I'm keeping it, but I do wish it ended up being more useful.
