Lovely little story with amazing characters. I would love a sequel to know what happens to Sarah.

Read it in one go, lovely little book

One of the best books I’ve read. I was filled with wonder (and envy) and joy, at the exquisite, sensitive prose, and the insights into Furlong’s troubled mind, a man who believed it was not worth living if you can’t do some good. And I spent days afterwards wondering if life would work out for the girl in the coal-shed.
