Great for all reading apps so far. (Kindle, Libby, Hoopla, etc.)
I am very happy with the purchase so far after using it for a few weeks. It is a great alternative to other e-readers that require you to use just one app or type of software. I have read Manga using Libby and have read one book with Kindle and another using Hoopla with no issues. I am able to download anything from the Google Play store with this. The battery lasts very long if you are not connected to WiFi. I read other reviews about the back making noise and a few other bugs. It is very solid and no software issues/glitches so far. You also get expandable memory up to one TB but have not needed this yet. I have also used this to listen to an audiobook - with no problem.

Broke for no reason after eight months
I have had this for less than eight months. The power button has stopped working for no apparent reason, so I can't use it anymore. Before it broke for no reason, I wrote the following review:There are two major issues with this unit. The first is that if Android apps are open in the background, then the battery drains fairly quickly (several percent per hour). This can be mitigated by frequently clearing the memory cache, but I don't really think that I should have to do that.[Edited review] The second is that Android File Transfer, the standard app for transferring files from a Mac to an Android computer, usually (but not always) works...if I first quit certain other apps (Dropbox, Preview, OneDrive, Google File Transfer). When I reached out to Meebook about this issue, they did not answer me. It took me a while to figure out the solution. It was extremely frustrating not to be able to transfer files by USB, and while I have a solution now, comparable products (my Onyx Boox Note Air, for example) do not have this issue, and I would have liked some—any—response from the manufacturer about this defect. The latest software update did *not* fix the issues with Android File Transfer or rapid battery drain, and has added a "Bookstore" icon to the home screen. Unlike most other apps, the Bookstore icon cannot be hidden or even moved; it sits there, uselessly wasting valuable screen real estate. I don't need a bookstore app, and when I open the Bookstore app, I get what I think is an error screen. It has a :-( and some comments in Chinese, and there is no way to get this app to do anything except show a :-( and some comments in Chinese. So the latest update did nothing but waste some of the best homescreen real estate.Onyx Boox makes a similar unit, the Poke 5. The software on the Poke 5 is much better; it doesn't have either of the problems listed above. The Poke 5 unfortunately has sharp corners, while this device has rounded corners, so I find this device to be more comfortable to hold; if you don't think the corners on the Poke 5 will bother you, I strongly recommend buying that instead.

So Disappointed
I was really looking forward to this device as it checked off a lot of boxes for me. But it seems to have a manufacturing defect and the backing is not secure to the device. If you squeeze even slightly the device clicks and clanks. This wouldn't necessarily be an issue for me, but whenever you apply even the slightest pressure (like holding the device while reading a book) the device closes out of the app and returns to the home screen. So this device has all the right stuff on paper but is a failure for me. I saw a video review of the M6 where the reviewer said the device sounded almost "crunchy" when being held and I agree with that. What a shame.

If you don't need an SD card slot look elsewhere
I bought this mainly because it's one of the few e-readers with a micro SD slot, and it runs android. That way I can load up lots of stuff to read on Kiwix like Project Gutenberg, Wikipedia, and use any reading apps of my choice. Not being locked or coerced into a specific vendor's preferences was also a nice touch - for example seeing ads on the lock screen was a no-go for me. This e-reader does what I tell it to do and nothing else. Nobody's poking their head out trying to sell me something or get me to sign up for a subscription. It does the job fine but if I had more options this wouldn't have been my choice. The battery life is unbelievably bad if you require even the slightest amount of backlighting, barely cracking 6 hours of reading in the dark. Outside or in bright lighting when you don't need the backlight it performs as expected and would probably last a long time. The screen looks great with ambient light and with the backlight.Build quality is laughable, with all kinds of creaking and crackling with normal handling. I have noticed a few times that the device will lock or unlock itself if you handle it a certain way, probably some kind of issue with the touchscreen or lock button registering during flexing. So there you go, this thing doesn't have much going for it and if it weren't for the SD slot and android OS it would be going back. If you don't have strange requirements like I do, look elsewhere.

Excellent system with Google App Store to install other book libraries
More portable than Kindle Paperwhite, easy setup for interested bookstore apps. I wish I could have this product ten years ago!

Minor Flaws, But Overall A Great Product
This is my first ereader so I can't compare it to other products. I'll keep it short and sweet.LIKES -Micro-SD slot.Easy to transfer books using WIFI or USB-CSimple layout and intuitive interface.Android, so it supports multiple third party apps! (Kindle!)DISLIKES -Some minor translation errors in some apps (for example, it says my book is 58% "readed").The installed dictionary it comes with returns definitions in Chinese, and I don't know how to change it other than looking for a different third-party app.It doesn't seem as robust as my phone (Galaxy S8). I feel like it would take a lot less punishment.None of these dislikes are anything beyond minor for me, though I've only had it for a couple weeks now. I'd recommend it.

Great product
Purchased the M6 after being disappointed with the Leaf 2. The M6 is a great overall reader with nice specs and performance. Well worth the purchase. Would purchase again.
