KS2 Maths Workout - Year 6: great for SATS practice

My son in Year 4 at a state primary loves maths but his teacher has admitted she can no longer teach him as he is so far ahead in the class. We agreed that I would buy a book for him to do in maths lessons when he had finished the class work. This workbook assumes the child can do long multiplication, long division and read complicated questions by themselves. It's good because my son doesn't need any help to complete a page and yet it is a good revision of his maths skills. I think it could be used by year 4/5 children who enjoy Maths. This approach is working much better than the other option of sending the child to the back of the class to read when they've finished their work, my son reads a lot at home (currently on Lord of the Rings) so think it's best to improve his maths while he is keen. Just remember to cut the answers out - my daughter never thought of looking at the back of the book first!

A very useable book with a comprehensive selection of problems covering the syllabus of year six. The children enjoyed doing the problems and find it a rewarding experience.

Really pleased. Item is just right for my son to complete daily during lockdown. The book is sectioned off most are 2 pages which take anywhere between 5 and 20 mins to complete.

Great as a book to keep at home for rainy days - or if your kids forget their homework. The answers are in the back so its helpful for helping adults mark it.

bought for my brother because he was serious about his year 6 SAT's and does exactly what it says on the book, brother enjoys it and says it helps hm and its bargain price too! i just hope he does well!
