From disappointment to happy customer
Return window was 11/22/23. Today is 12/7/23 and the devise stopped working completely. When the company saw my review, they contacted me and immediately made things right with no inconvenience to me!WOW! How refreshing!!!

Possibly the greatest mistake I’ve paid for since my first marriage
What a piece of junk! This absurd waste of plastic, admittedly, was a gamble when I purchased it. Caveat emptor, indeed. It is apparently incapable of functioning fully without an app downloaded from the internet. That app is apparently incapable of connecting to my home Wi-Fi network. (And for goodness’ sake, WHY does it need to do that? I just want it to wake me up in the morning!)It is also apparently incapable of generating anything remotely like white light. Oh, it does great, if you’re looking for Blindingly Bright Trippy Colors, but my golly, this thing is miserable as a nightstand lamp for an adult who wants a light and alarm. This cross between a Star Trek prop and an acid trip has four silver buttons on the front (which I found impossible to activate without picking up the whole unit); and three INVISIBLE touch-pads on the back of the unit. I will admit that there’s a certain appeal in the idea of slapping this thing on the back of the head. What passes for a “sunrise effect” is yet another (see an earlier review of a similar lamp) blood-red apocalyptic light show. This isn’t even passable as a sunrise on Mars. Possibly workable as a gentle wake up call for, say, Sauron the Dark Lord, but for me, awful. It claims to have wireless charging capability; I didn’t test that, because of the fatal flaws described above. This thing got here today; it’s going back tomorrow.

Complicated set up
It’s ok once you get it figured out but it’s very complicated. Requires you to download an app.

Software issues ruin it
My wife was excited to have this as her alarm clock. She programmed it and consistently found it would reset itself and not perform its functions as she had set the night before. Reviews of the app indicated it was a common issue. No thanks. Returned it.

It actually works
Not much to say. I have always had a hard time waking up to alarms regardless of what music or sounds I would use. This though, this works. If you have trouble getting up this will for sure wake you up. I haven't really messed with any of the other options this provides because I don't have trouble going to sleep.

Fine
Not the most user friendly app. I expected a lot more user control in setting up the clock. After messing with this for 20 minutes, I’d rather purchase a more expensive clock for better features and smoother app controls. Setting the day of the week proved that this specific clock was defective. I choose to set the day for Tuesday and somehow the clock sets every day but Tuesday. Not impressed. Turned out to be a cheap product.

Had it arrive October 2023, 4 months later... It's dead
I'm not sure what to say other than it just stopped working last week. I've switched out the charger to see if maybe that's the problem but no, digital clock doesn't work, none of the charging surfaces or plugs are working and the orb lamp part isn't working either. Totally disappointing it didn't even last a year.

Not to be dramatic but it's life changing
I have a really hard time peeling myself out of bed in the winter when mornings are dark. This morning was my first day using this alarm clock and I got up easily, ate breakfast, made coffee, packed a lunch, got ready for work, and arrived early. Usually I stay in bed until the very last minute and rush out the door. I like that you can set the alarm to have the sunrise with no sound, so I can use it in conjunction with my phone alarm. The light did not wake me up on its own before my alarm went off, but somehow the gradual light before I woke up allowed me to wake up to my alarm feeling rested and ready to get up (even though I went to bed late last night). I love the watch and phone charger, and the ability to control the settings from the app. There are several light settings and relaxation sounds to choose from, and you can create "scenes" to play a sound and light setting together. The sounds are hit-and-miss but I love the different light settings. It's also nice that the day/time are always correct since it's connected to wifi.I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 because Alexa integration is really clunky. The instructions that come with the clock say to use the Dekala app, which works on its own, but Alexa does not recognize it. When you go into the Alexa app to connect a Dekala Light, it will give you a link to the Smart Life app and you'll need to set it up there instead. Once you get it connected, it adds 7 "devices" to Alexa: one for each of the 2 alarms, a single-color light, a night light (red-orange), an ambient light (multicolor changing lights), one for the sleep/relax "scenes," and one just called "sunrise." I ended up changing the names to all of these "devices" so they would be easier to control w/Alexa. I added only the single-color light to my bedroom group so it will turn on when I say "lights on." If all of the devices are added to your room group, it will turn them all on/off – even the alarms – so be sure the alarms are not part of your group. The single-color light can be set to any color through the Smart Life app, but setting the color does not work with the Alexa App or Alexa voice control. Alexa will change the color, but no matter what color you ask or choose in the Alexa app, it will just pick a random other color. A strange quirk but not the end of the world. When you ask Alexa to turn the light on it'll just be the last color you used.
