Not bad for the price.
As a thermometer this unit is average for its price range. It is accurate using a boiling water/ice water test, reads relatively quick (this is NOT an "instand read" thermometer) and the back lit display is a nice option.THE REMOTE ASPECT~Unobstructed~it is as advertised. It works all around the yard as long as I can see the sending unit. From the front yard with the sending unit in the back yard the range was considerably less and from my neighbors yard with two houses between the units there was no signal...thats not a minus point...just be aware the 230 foot range is an "unobstructed" range...the more pbstructipns between the reciver and the sending unit the shorter the range.GOING IN THE HOUSE with the sending unit out side~ the unit worked well as long as I was on the same side of the house the sending unit was. The more rooms between the reciever and the sending unit the less the range but for practical purposes you can monitor your grill or smoker from in the house.WITH the sender in the kitchen ~I was able to receive almost everywhere in the house and a fair distance away when outside....only the farthest upstairs bedroom and the farthest basement corner were problematic.THE ALARMS~ work well. The instructions could be better written.NOTE: The sending unit dose not function in cold temps. While attempting to use this unit while smoking a 10 pound butt roast over night it would not send a signal. I unplugged the two probes in use and went inside with unit and instructions. Plugged extra probe into unit and it started working...went out side plugged probes back in...worked for several minutes then quit...back inside, works fine...outside won't send signal.I sat the sender on top of the warm smoker and presto...working fine...The outside temp was 13°F...After further experimentation I determined the sending unit needs to be in a warm (ish) location to function properly.Over all I'd recommend this unit for back yard grillers/smokers/BBQers and home cooks...

Many features for personal preferences, nice looking and well made
This iHomy Wireless Meat thermometer definitely doesn't belong to those cheap thermometer category out there. It has a fancy look and well made. It can be very conveniently and wirelessly used to monitor your meat remotely without hassles and worries. The LCD is very clear displaying the temperature and even better with the background light turned on for a few seconds in case in the dark. In addition, it has a built in alarm timer to remind you. This thermometer has many features to monitor different type of meats and tastes depending your own personal preferences. Also, the temperature can be switched between Celcius and Fahrenheit, just hold down the MIN for about 3 seconds.Nonetheless, the LCD receiver can be docked for storage or just to keep them looking nice and neat. However, I think the instruction is kind of very boring to follow. In general, It has worked very well compared to the older one that we've used.

works well
had for a few months now, I use quite often (at least once a week), more for smoking meats but I will use on the grill, great for fish that has that fine line between not quite done and over done, fish is always flakey. I have had issues with one of the meat probes, the temps. from it I don't trust. I bought the cheap one to see how I would like the probes and how they would handle the 225 degree smoker and the 325-450 degree grill, no issues at all, when I have to replace I would have no concern about getting this one again, though I will most likely opt for one of the more expensive ones

Has a nice range too
Works well. You can set a target temp and it beeps when it reaches it. The probe is waterproof. I use it to monitor my beer brewing activities. Has a nice range too. The instructions are difficult to work with so actual usage can be confusing but you get used to itUpdate after 1 year of use. this thing suddenly stopped working and I can't figure out why. Never got it wet. It shows the display screen but it doesn't register the probe signal. The sending unit flashes red like always and i even tried a new probe and nothing. even reset it a couple times to no avail. Guess you get what you pay for indeed.

Perfect performance in single digit temps while using our smoker!
Planned to smoke a pork shoulder for our 2018 NYE party, weather in Pittsburgh, PA leading up to/during NYE was in the single digits and calling for a light snow all day. My husband and I were nervous as we never smoked anything in that cold of weather (last winter we lived in warm Arkansas!). It worked perfectly and enabled us to track not only the inside temp of the smoker but also the meat at the same time! No having to open the door and loosing all our heat to check. I'll take the evidence that nearly the entire 8 lb shoulder was gone at the end of the night to how well it worked. Highly recommend.

pro thermometer
this is a very accurate thermometer, has several sticks that I can use in several areas at the same time to make sure I have the most surface area of the food to be temperature checked.this I come to the conclusion is a perfect item for a person who cooks a lot.if I had any negatives to point out, in my opinion I think that it is a very overwhelming amount of parts that come with this thermometer, as I opened the box I did not know where to start to begin to use it.overall this is a good item for a cook.
